My denim shirt is easily one of my favorite things from my closet. It is so versatile, comfortable, and fashionable. It is generally seen as more of a spring or fall look, but I wear mine year round. All you have to do is add some layers to make it warmer. And of course you can pair it with leggings, with jeans to rock the double denim look, or dress it up with a skirt. Here are some ways I wear my denim shirt in winter.
This look is great when it’s really cold out and you have to wear a scarf with your winter coat anyway. It is also a great way to add some color to the look. Infinity scarves can be super warm, but if you are using a regular scarf try a fun knot.
Layering a sweater over your denim shirt is an easy way to create a preppy and polished look. Bonus, it’s really warm too. Have the sleeves, collar, and bottom of the denim shirt sticking out from under the sweater.
Vests are great for adding a touch of warmth. Depending on the color of the vest, you can really make the denim pop. You can have the vest zipped up or down, and depending on the vest you can have the denim shirt’s collar out.

The cardigan look is a sort of dressed down version of the sweater look. It comes across as much more casual, while still getting the benefits of the warmth. Make sure to leave the cardigan open, don’t button it.

The blazer adds a bit of professionalism to the look while still looking super stylish and warm. You can button or unbutton this look and should probably tuck into your pants or bottoms.
