5 Refreshing Spring Drinks For Your Next Outing

It’s finally here! Spring is upon us and the great weather is the only thing to enjoy. The bright colors and refreshing atmosphere, the feeling of a fresh start this Spring is infectious and is a great excuse to incorporate into our get togethers. Capture that bright freshness of Spring with your next outing. Here are 5 refreshing spring drinks for your next outing.

1. Orange Kiwi Spritzer

When you’re craving that great taste of bubbly tropical, this drink is perfect to start off the Spring season. I personally love the bright colors of this drink that make it absolutely gorgeous and a real eye catcher for any outing. And the best part, this drink takes only a matter of minutes to make and is a great way to make you the life of the party and your Spring fresh. 

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe kiwi
  • ½ cup orange juice, frozen and split into equal parts
  • 2 tsp cane sugar
  • 12 oz of lemon soda, note Sprite also works
  • 1 orange slice
  • 1 kiwi slice

Directions

Begin by peeling your kiwi, cutting it into fine chunks. Proceed to mash your kiwi. In a glass of your choosing, place the mashed kiwi at the bottom of the glass. Place your frozen orange juice over the top along with your sugar. Add your lemon soda. Mix well and top with your orange and kiwi slices. Serve and enjoy. 

This perfectly pink drink is lovely and refreshing.

2. Dragon Fruit Dream

Nothing says hello to Spring than the bright purple of dragon fruit. This drink will certainly turn heads at your next outing. The flavors are both subtly sweet and delicious. The natural sweetness of the dragonfruit and the bitter sweet citrus of lime makes for a perfectly complex drink that will have your guests coming back for more. This drink is also low calorie, it’s main ingredient being sparkling water and fruit, making this perfectly pink drink a must try. 

Ingredients

  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ¼ cup dragon fruit, peeled and chopped
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 2 dashes pitaya powder
  • 1 can of sparkling water, preferably lime flavored. Note, that Sprite will also work great with this drink.

Directions

Start by taking a large pitcher and adding your lime juice and honey. Really whisk together before proceeding to add your dragon fruit and mint leaves. Muddle before adding your sparkling water. Be sure to taste it to see if it’s sweet enough. Serve chilled and enjoy.

3. Berry Blast

Do you ever want that bright red pop of color in your hand for your next outing? Say no more, this bright red berry blast is a great way to get your guest’s attention for your next get together. This recipe is fast, easy and delicious.The sweetness of the raspberries, tartness of the lemon, complexity of passion fruit and black tea will leave you wanting more. This personal favorite is a fast way to cater to a large number of guests in a fun and easy way.  One drink of this berry blast, will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed on a long warm Spring day. Let this be an addition to your perfect Spring day. 

Ingredients

  • 8 raspberries, preferably fresh
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ¾ oz passion fruit syrup, note you can add some passion fruit chunks at the bottom of the glass to add that extra color pop.
  • 2 oz black tea
  • 2 oz cranberry juice, sweetened

Directions

Begin by taking a large pitcher and adding your lemon juice, black tea and cranberry juice. Proceed to add your passion fruit syrup followed by your raspberries and dragon fruit, if you so choose. Serve and enjoy. 

This drink is great for adding that sweet and citrus to your next outing.

4. Lemon Basil Spritzer

When you’re looking for something a little more complex for your next refreshing Spring drink, this recipe is a must try. A lemon basil spritzer adds that sweet tart of lemon while also the sweet subtle freshness of basil that is soft, fresh and distinct. This spritzer is my personal favorite and will always keep your guests and you, coming back for a second glass. And while this drink doesn’t have the bright color pops and some of the other drinks listed, the flavors are well worth it. When you’re looking for something a little more subtly sweet for your next outing, try a lemon basil spritzer.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup sugar, granulated
  • 3 leaves of basil, fresh
  • 2 dashes of simple syrup
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¾ cup sparkling water

Directions

Begin by placing your water and sugar into a pot and bring to a rolling boil on medium low heat. Let cool while you’re preparing the rest of your drink. Place a few basil leaves down at the bottom of the glass, along with a few lemon wedges. Muddle. Add your lemon juice, simple syrup and muddle again. Add some ice, garnish, serve and enjoy. 

This sweet tea is a great refreshing welcome to Spring.

5. Sweet Tea With A Twist

Do you ever just crave a glass of refreshing sweet homemade tea on a lovely Spring day? Then this drink is for you. Yet this tea comes with an orange and white cranberry twist that is undeniably delicious. This recipe puts a whole new unforgettable and delicious twist on your next sweet tea. 

Ingredients

  • 2 bags of black tea
  • 2 bunches of fresh mint
  • 2 slices of orange rind
  • 2 oz of lemonade, freshly squeezed
  • 1 oz white cranberry juice

Directions

Begin by brewing your black tea according to the directions. Let cool and prepare the rest of your drink.  Add your mint at the bottom of the glass, muddle well before adding your orange ride, muddle again. Add your lemonade, black tea and cranberry juice. Stir. Garnish with your orange rind and mint. Serve and enjoy.
