The Sculpture Garden is a nice place to sit on the grass and read or catch up with friends. I know it’s far, but sometimes it’s nice to explore this corner of campus, even if it is a forty five minute walk from just about anywhere.
In need of a peaceful spot to eat lunch with your friends? PAB’s patio is quiet, pretty, and not many people know about it, which is something that cannot be said about most worthwhile spots on UCLA’s campus.
The perfect place for a nap in between classes. There are usually a few empty tables, and more importantly, a few empty reclining chairs for those of us who never sleep.
The Botanical Gardens are the perfect cheap date spot for all of you first years who just
got that girl’s number at that one frat party. Walk through UCLA’s gorgeous botanical gardens with your date, and take in all its beauty. But beware of bugs and wear long pants, or your date won’t be happy… and neither will you.
Pretending to have your shit together? Or want to be surrounded by people who do have their shit together? Spend your gaps at Music Café, where you’ll be surrounded by music majors who know what they’re doing with their lives.
Again, here’s another nice nap spot. Stop pretending you don’t need it, because we all know you haven’t slept since week two, when midterms started. So take a blanket out to the grassy hills around Janss steps and close your eyes for probably the only time this quarter.
Need a place to study with the group that will probably let you down? YRL is the perfect group study library, with plenty of study rooms and pods, where you’ll inevitably end up doing all the work.
I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that Bombshelter has the best food around, but it
does have edible food. And that’s really all we need to keep us going at this point. And coffee. But don’t worry, there’s coffee in the patio area.
If you have the misfortune of having a class in this corner of campus (Broad, Melnitz, etc.),
then Untitled Café is a nice place to get your daily caffeine fix among the artsy majors who are much cooler than you.
