Worst Red Carpet Moments of All Time

I don’t know about you but I always can’t wait for when magazines or news networks publish the worst dressed red carpet moments at the Oscars’, Grammy’s, etc. Today, fashion is all over the place. The current trend is cut your jeans so that you can wear it as a top and you will have low waisted jeans. Personally, that’s a little too out there for me. Celebrities don’t know if their outfit will be a hit or a miss with the public. The famous people I listed below must’ve had to have known that it was going to be a miss because they are just bad…

Z Lala

Z Lala’s American Music Awards dress looks like a Halloween costume. Everyone probably had the urge to run when they first saw her. The octopus was upside down and the tentacle wrapped around her arm and her neck. Her nails, hair, and makeup matched perfectly but I would not describe this as a red carpet win.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish’s style has always been oversized hoodies, shirts, and pants. Eilish is representing a certain Gen Z expression with her skate culture, goth, and oversized clothes. She did just that in her red carpet 94th Academy Awards look. Billie looks like she is drowning in all that material.

Kristen Wiig

At the 2020 Oscars, Kristen wore a red Valentino dress that had large ruffles protruding off the sides of her dress. This was just not a flattering look. The ruffles made her appear wider. Some say that she almost looked like a fruit rollup. I think it looks like she could be cleaning my car at the drive through car wash.

Bjork

This unforgettable dress was worn at the 2001 Oscars by Bjork, an Icelandic artist. I am not entirely sure who came up with this swan dress and why they did it. There are only 2 original dress becauses you can’t dry clean it. You will always see this dress as a costume at Halloween parties.

Celine Dion

I am pretty sure it wasn’t backwards day when Celine Dion wore this, so there really was not a good excuse for her to wear this weird ensemble. This backwards tuxedo was worn at the 1999 Academy Awards.

Whoopi Goldberg

Where was Whoopi going with this dress? I am getting royal vibes but also a Count Dracula vibe. And to make it worse, she paired that fluorescent green with that dark purple. This 1993 Academy Awards outfit was topped with huge orange earrings and green heels. No. Just no.

Lizzy Gardiner

This 1995 Oscars dress was made out of 254 expired American Express credit cards. Each credit card had her name on it. Lizzy was a costume designer who had been very original in her creations. She made a joke saying that she was broke and didn’t have anything else to wear. I still have to give her props for her originality.

Maggie Gyllenhaal

This gown was featured at the 2022 Academy Awards. The dress featured gold detailing with a “T” structure. Many people on Tik Tok have made fun of the gold detailing making jokes that it is just Ghirardelli chocolate wrappers or door knobs.

Faith Hill

Faith Hill’s worst red carpet moment was captured at the 74th Academy Awards. I am getting rainbow but it really did not work on this dress. People did not enjoy it then and people still don’t enjoy it now. I think this dress would’ve been gorgeous just all white or all black…honestly just any one color.

Eva Von Bahr

Eva Von Bahr is a swedish makeup artist. She came to the 2022 Oscars in a Renaissance styled dress with a statue head as a purse.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian is probably the biggest influencer. Whatever she wears…we know will end up being a big trend. Also, it is very rarely when people do not like what Kim K wears. But was anyone else scared by Kim’s 2021  Met Gala Balenciaga dress? I mean this is like a nightmare come to life. This dress is bad because there is no real art to it. It is just a black shirt, black one piece, and a train. It just isn’t doing it for me or many other fans.

John Travolta

John Travolta really pulled up in jeans to the Oscars. He did pair it with an Armani suit so I guess that is something. His late wife came up with the idea to wear jeans because it was something different and it was comfortable.

Samuel L. Jackson

I don’t know if Samuel L. Jackson was trying to go for a Star Wars look with his long jacket but it just wasn’t it. This photo was taken at the 2001 Oscars.

Terrence Howard

I think Terrence Howard was running late to the 2017 Oscars and could only find his bathrobe. Or maybe he was trying to go for a Hugh Hefner look. I appreciate the innovation but it is a no for me. At least he was comfortable.

Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs literally showed up naked to the 2012 Met Gala besides having on socks, shoes, boxers, and a long see through shirt. This was definitely not a popular look on the red carpet. He was the first man to ever go for it. Another thing I am just not enjoying is the shoes. I am getting Irish leprechaun.

Justin Bieber

At the 2022 Academy Awards Justin was termed one of the worst dressed. He was wearing a Balenciaga suit with a hot pink beanie…say no more, right? Also, the suit was oversized, making it that much worse. As you can imagine, people were absolutely hazing him on social media saying things like, “he’ll grow into it when he grows up.”
