Why You Should Go To School In Florida

Florida is a thriving robust state filled with grandeur and simplicity. From the beaches of Miami to the swamps of Gainesville, the food, culture, enterprise and diversity can be found around the many crevices of Florida.

1. Schools

An often underestimated estimated state, Florida can give you schooling in the relaxation of the white sand beaches of the Panhandle, the trilling adventures of the theme parks in Orlando, or the rich Latin culture of Miami. With the Florida Panhandle you can find colleges such as Florida State University, University of West Florida, and Pensacola State College. Near the Orlando area colleges such as University of Central Florida, Florida Technical College, and Valencia College resides. Miami, a thriving city of its own, is home to University of Miami, Florida International University and Miami International University of Art & Design.

Florida schools combined have a great number of programs such as, Music program (University of Miami, Rollins College, University of Florida), Nursing (University of Florida, Jacksonville University, University of Miami), Basketball (University of Miami, University of Florida, Florida State University), and MBA programs (University of Florida, Florida International University, University of Tampa).

2. Liesure

While you may not go to school in the cities that have the museums, city night life, or thrilling theme parks, an exciting road trip, along with discounts to Florida residents make a number of these places worth the journey. Say for Spring Break or a quick weekend trip.

Not only is Florida famously home to Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Studios, discounted to all Florida residents, its also home to one of the largest Salvador Dali collections in the world, in St. Petersburg. Other museums include the National Aviation Museum, Florida Museum of Natural History, and the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. Florida of course also houses some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, and a number of inland lakes and national forest.

Universal Studios is home to such attraction and rides such as Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, E.T. Adventure, Hogwarts™ Express: King’s Cross Station, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl, MEN IN BLACK™: Alien Attack™, Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, Revenge of the Mummy, Shrek 4-D and much more.

Within Walt Disney World Resort resides staple theme park such as Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and Disney’s Blizzard Beach.

Floria is a state of many colors and with many backgrounds. Your individual personality not only will fit better at certain school, but also in certain cities. A great and mindful location is just as important to select as you would select a great university program. Some people want a lively city with a smaller campus versus a huge campus in a small metropolitan. From Miami, to Gainesville, to Pensacola, Florida will bring unique charms.

4. Price

Reasonable cost of living is a factor that not only students, but parents must consider when choosing why you should go to school in Florida. While Florida has an overall higher cost of living than the U.S average, Florida does have considerably lower taxes. There is no State Income Tax and is amongst the states with the lowest state sales taxes, which makes it quite an affordable state in terms of expenditure. In 2017, CNBC ranked Florida as second to Wyoming as the state with the least expensive public tuition.
