What To Wear To Class When You’re Too Tired To Put Together An Outfit

Figuring out what you’re going to wear in the morning can be frustrating when you’re tired and don’t care. Sure, you could just throw on a pair of leggings and whatever t shirt is closest to you, but you do still want to look cute. That’s why we’ve put together some ideas for outfits to wear to class when you’re too tired to put together an outfit.

A Look For Optimal Comfort

It’s totally possible to wear what you really want to wear (sweatpants) and still look cute. Case-in-point? This outfit right here. The genius of this is how casual it is while still looking purposeful. The white shirt goes well with the white shoes and the white tie and words on her sweatpants. This outfit is perfect to wear to class because it’s comfortable but casual without looking like you rolled out of bed and headed out, though you totally could do that. Part of why this look works is because her sweatpants are branded, but really any sweatpants you already own will do! You’ll definitely not be the only one rocking the comfy look.

The scrunchie really pulls the look together. Because the color matches the rest of the outfit, it comes across as an intentional accessory rather than something added out of necessity. Plus, if you have long hair scrunchies hurt usually less when you use them to pull your hair back so it’s a win-win.

Whatever joggers you choose or already own, consider wearing a pair with a more tapered leg. Rolling or folding up the ankles can also really add something to your look!

A Basic-But-Cute Fall Look

This outfit is perfect to wear to class when you don’t feel like putting an outfit together because you could figure this out in your sleep. The basic formula? Boots, jeans, shirt, flannel. This look doesn’t require much thought and looks cute no matter what pieces you put together. You can also customize this look to fit what you’re doing that day or the weather. Is it a little chillier outside? Throw on a scarf and add a jacket. Is it unseasonably warm out? Wear a short sleeve shirt or forgo the button down all together. Going straight to the bar from class? Wear a pair of shoes with a higher heel or thrown on some big earrings.

These boots are great for every day wear because they’re cute and neutral. You can totally throw these on with any outfit without having to worry if they go with what you’re wearing! And they’re slip on, which is always nice when you’re running out the door for your nine AM class and you’re only half awake.

A Grey Scale Look

Looking for something on the edgier side? A grey scale look is sure to make you look tough but always looks put together because it’s nearly impossible any parts of your outfit will clash. The little details you add can really personalize this look for you. Any grey shirt you own will work. If you’re feeling particularly hardcore one day, the leather-look pants might be a good option. If leather pants aren’t your style, you could always substitute these with dark jeans or, for a more day-time look, a pair of light wash distressed jeans. You could totally wear this to class and feel certain you’ll look cute and be comfortable. If you’re feeling fancy you could pair this with heeled combat boots instead. Plus, throwing on a pair of red heels and a bold lip could easily transition this look into night!

A Leggings Look With Some Edge

We all have those days, especially later in the semester, where we really just want to go to class in a pair of leggings and an old t-shirt and call it even. You can totally do that, no one’s judging you. But if there’s someone in your class you have your eye on or you just want to feel a little cuter, you could totally make this simple look a little fancier with a few tweaks. Pick a graphic T you like and feel confident in. Make sure it’ll cover your butt if that’s something you want before you throw it on in the morning so you won’t be pulling it down every five minutes! Tie your jacket around your waist, throw on some sneakers and some shades, and you’re ready to go! Wear this to class and you come across as relaxed and casual instead of lazy and tired.

Any graphic t shirt will work, but this shirt is totally the mood we’re all feeling on a Monday halfway through the semester so I had to include this shirt!

A Leggings Look That’s More Intentionally Styled

Maybe you want to wear leggings to class but you don’t want to feel like you’re in your pajamas. There’s something about wearing quote-unquote “real clothes” to class that helps some people focus. This look is perfect for those days! The best thing is this outfit is just made up of basic pieces you already own: white tank top, leggings, oversized sweater, slip on shoes, and a purse you substitute for your backpack. It’s a look you can wear to class all day every day that takes minimal time to put together and looks as effortless as it really is. This is a great go-to because it’s simple but totally classic. It’s also so customizable! A colorful tank top could brighten up your day, or pair this with rain boots and be cozy in the drizzly weather. The outfit pictured below works so well because all of her basic pieces are interesting: the pants have texture, the bralette is fancier, the cardigan is oversized and slouchy. This is such an easy look to achieve!
