We all know that one person who seems to constantly be in a relationship with a new person. The relationships may last only a few weeks, but this person is generally never single for a substantial amount of time. The serial dater loves the thrill of the chase as well as the initial dates. They do, however, lose interest and quickly move onto the next prospect. They are constantly chasing after the high that comes with experiencing someone new. Falling for a serial dater is problematic because they seem to get bored easily and when the novelty wears off they will likely become bored and move on. It can be difficult to spot this type of person as they will probably make you feel very special in the beginning and the first couple of dates will be incredible (they have a lot of practice, after all!).

They are likely a smooth talker who will make you feel special fast and then stop talking you just as quickly. 1. They have a wandering eye.

If you’re on a date someone, you shouldn’t catch them checking someone else out. That is just blatantly disrespectful, and a surefire way to identify a serial dater.

2. They are highly attentive to their phone.

There is always someone else they can text or call at their fingertips. While they’re with you they might still be swiping or texting another person to keep their options open. They always have a backup plan in case something with you goes south.

3. They won’t make future plans.

If you have been seeing them for a couple of weeks but they seem to shy away from any conversations about the future, they probably don’t intend on continuing things long term. This is one of the answers to the question what is serial dating!

As I said, they have a lot of practice dating, and practice makes perfect. Serial daters are often times smooth talkers and you’d be inclined to fall for them faster. They also tend to move faster physically. They chase the thrill of experiencing new people.

8. They don’t text or call unless it is to meet up.
