The Ultimate CWRU Bucket List

Are you curious about the things that you should do before you graduate? Check out this ultimate CWRU bucket list!

1. Have a splash in the Wet/Dry Fountain.

Get your feet a little wet and savor the nice weather while you can.

2. Eat a hotdog at Happy Dog—and be creative with the toppings.

Mac & Cheese? Fruit loops?

3. Go to the Farm Harvest Festival.

Food, hiking, hayrides, and more!

4. Volunteer at the University Farm.

Sign up via OrgSync and help out with various tasks, such as seeding and harvesting. Transportation is provided and the CWRU Farm’s Shuttle Bus picks up volunteers in front of Thwing.

5. Don’t miss the homecoming dance.

Otherwise known as “Tinkerball,” this event is put on by UPB (University Program Board).

6. Sing at Jolly.

Want something to do on a Thursday night? Try Karaoke Night at the Jolly Scholar.

7. Go to Thwing Study Over.

This event rolls around once a semester and has a lot of free food from popular establishments around the Cleveland area. They also give away a lot of free stuff, so take a break from studying for finals and stop by.

8. Go rock climbing at Veale.

Change up your workout routine with something fun.

9. Attend a concert at Severance Hall.

Severance Hall is right on campus. It would be a shame not to take advantage of the reduced prices for students! Check out more information about joining the Cleveland Orchestra’s Student Advantage Program here!

10. Attend a Cavaliers game.

Look out for opportunities for reduced prices in the UPB newsletter and see the 2016 NBA Champions play at home.

11. Take a trip to Cedar Point.

Located in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Point is a little more than an hour drive from the university.

12. See a play at Playhouse Square.

Take advantage of discounted student tickets and see some quality off-Broadway productions!

The Ronald McDonald House provides housing, comfort, and support to the families of sick children who are receiving medical treatment in the area. For more information about volunteer opportunities, you can click here!

15. Go to Snowball!

Snowball is organized by the COC (Class Officer Collective) and takes place at a hotel in downtown Cleveland.
