1. Shop at markets

Cities and towns usually do a lot of markets where they sell local produce. A lot of chain supermarkets use up a lot of plastic so this is a great way to reduce plastic and help out local businesses. If these are too far away, buy products with as little packaging as possible and go to your nearest supermarket.

2. Walk or take public transportation

I’m sure you’ve heard that walking or taking public transportation helps the environment. If you’re far away and have a car with people who are going to similar destinations, share one car ride together. The less transport on the road, the less Greenhouse gases are produced. Plus, if you walk or cycle, it will improve your health.

It’s the small things like these which can help save the amount of water used and help the environment.

5. Cut back on fast shopping

Only buy when you absolutely need something, instead of going when you have the urge to shop. Be more mindful of what you spend and whether you’re need going to need it or not. If you really can’t resist the urge to shop, buy second hand and from charity shops. This can also help you save money too.
