10 Tips To Reduce Anxiety While In College

I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder as well as social anxiety disorder. I know a lot of college students go through some anxious moments at times so here are 10 ways to reduce anxiety while in college whether you suffer from panic attacks like me or you are just going through a stressful time. Here are 10 tips to reduce anxiety while in college!

1. Take a warm shower or bubble bath.

2. Listen to some good music and dance around.

3. Watch your favorite movie or TV show.

Watching your favorite TV show is a great tip to reduce anxiety! Keep it light and watch a comedy.

4. Talk it out with your best friends or family.

5. Go for a run/workout.

6. Go for a drive with the windows rolled down.

7. Write your anxious thoughts down in a journal.

This tip for reducing anxiety is seriously helpful. Keeping a journal helps calm the mind and sort out your thoughts. Plus, if you are frustrated with a professor or roommate, write out a letter. Trick is not to send it to them!

8. Do some retail therapy.

This no doubt, always makes people happy. Getting away from whatever work you have is essential. Take some time to treat yourself during exam weeks.

9. Have a good cry and don’t be afraid to show your emotions. Then, take a nap.

10. Do some deep breathing exercises.

It helps if you sit down with your feet planted on the ground, while you close your eyes and count to ten while deep breathing. Even activities like meditation help reduce anxiety. Start looking into meditation guides and apps that will help you.
