It’s hard to wake up feeling rested in the morning; life is stressful and sometimes it feels like there’s nothing but the stress. Here are a few things you should do in the morning to fight the stress and the fatigue.
First thing in the morning, take a few minutes for prayer or mediation. You don’t have to be religious for this, all you need to do is take some time for yourself to reflect on the world around you.
2) No Phone
With that said, don’t get on your phone right away! Wait until you’ve finished your morning routine first. Trust me, you don’t need to be comparing yourself to others first thing in the morning.
After that, get a journal out and right down your thoughts! Your mind is the clearest at this point in the day, which means it’s a great time for problem-solving.
4) Have A Glass Of Water
Drink a glass of water within 30 minutes of waking up. This will give you an energy boost for the rest of the day!
If you’re not working out in the morning, you should be. Research shows that working out at night is going to keep you up for a while longer because your body hasn’t had a chance to cool down properly. Working out in the morning, on the other hand, is an excellent way to force yourself to get moving!
6) Eat Protein
Instead of having carbs for breakfast, go for protein instead! Eggs and bacon are an easy one, and the protein will keep you full for longer than a donut will.
7) Shower In Cold Water
When you take your after-workout shower, make it a cold one! Studies show that cold water releases chemicals in the brain that make you happy!
8) Get Any Hard Stuff Done First
Do the harder stuff in the morning. Do at least one big thing that needs to get done in the morning, because the longer you put it off, the less likely your brain is going to want to do it.
