These Winter Cocktails Will Make Family Holidays Bearable

While we all love our families, sometimes they can be a bit much! Occasionally we need a little something to take the edge off of immense hours of family time. Try making these winter cocktails to ensure the holidays with your family will be a little more jolly.

Cranberry Mimosas

Is there anything more holiday than cranberries, they’re everywhere! On the tree, in the decorations, in your grandma’s stuffing recipe! So why not add them to your champagne. The recipe is so simple, you can break out these drinks in a flash! Try them on Christmas morning when your siblings can’t stop fighting over their new toys.

Caramel Irish Coffee

This delicious twist on an Irish Coffee will truly come in handy during the Holiday’s! Skip the cream and sugar, the butterscotch schnapps adds plenty of sweetness to this drink. And as an added bonus, it can be conveniently drank out a coffee mug without raising suspicions from that one disapproving great aunt! It does have coffee in it after all!

Dirty Snowmen

For when you want a little chocolate with your booze, this recipe has you covered! Made with hot chocolate (you can use your go to brand) melted chocolate bars, and ice cream, you cannot go wrong with this treat! Get all your cousins together and use making this drink as an excuse for a little extra bonding (as if you needed any more). You will not be disappointed, but maybe a little tipsy!

Classic Eggnog

While the title of this drink boasts “classic”, this is actually an updated take on the eggnog you were sipping on when you were little. For starers, its got some liquor in it! This recipe shows you how to make homemade eggnog, then add a little sauce to it! The result is ten times better than any store bought brand you’ve tried. You can actually try the first half of this recipe with the whole family, just make sure to nix the alcohol for all the kiddos!

Hot Toddy

A hot toddy is the perfect winter cocktail. It’s simple, tasty, and classic. It can also help relieve cold symptoms if you are feeling a little under the weather. Just make sure you aren’t taking any cold medicine! Make a big batch for you and your family while snuggling up so watch some equally classic Christmas movies, Home Alone anyone?!
