The Real Reasons Why You Should Take Your Makeup Off Before Bed

Taking makeup off can feel like a chore. There is no denying the fact at the end of the night/day taking off your makeup is something you really don’t want to do. But, there are some big reasons why you should take your makeup off before bed!

1. You’ll Need To Hold A Funeral For Your Lashes

Although mascara by day is saving grace, by night, its a devil in disguise. Sleeping in your mascara will make your lashes brittle and dry. This leads to breakage and mascara which are serious reasons why you should take your makeup off before bed!

2. Blocked Pores

Leaving your makeup on overnight will fill up your pores like nobody’s business. It doesn’t only make them bigger but makes pesky pores more noticeable. This means you are more likely to get pesky spots and even more reasons why you should take your makeup off before bed!

3. You’ll Become A Pre-Mature Grandma

Although we wear makeup to make ourselves look younger and more appealing, leaving it on overnight will just add years to your age. Foundation being left on the skin over night adds lines and wrinkles. Is it worth adding years to your looks? Grab the face wipes!

4. Dirt

Being plain and simple, wearing makeup to bed makes you have a mucky set of bed sheets which leads to a dirty face. Thinking about it logically, your makeup attracts the bacteria and dirt from the day. Wiping your makeup off will also take off the days dirt.

5. Dull Skin

The longer you wear your makeup, the duller your skin becomes. When you remove your makeup your not just removing the products, but all the impurities your skin has created and collected. If you leave your makeup on overnight you are likely to wake up will dry and dull skin.

6. Stopping An Even Worse Situation

Leaving your makeup on will irritate any pre-existing irritation. For example, that one spot you had on your cheek, will become another 6 in the same area. It will continue to spread until you get your skin care under control!

Just buy yourself a few products like micellar water, cleanser and face wipes. Add them to your daily routine, and hey presto, you’re skin will remain bright and clear (hopefully) for the foreseeable future!
