So, it’s nearing the end of everyone’s favorite show: The Bachelorette. Okay, maybe not everyone’s, but definitely mine. Everyone is all excited that it is coming to an end because they want to see who Becca picks, but that’s not why I am excited. I am excited it’s ending because it means we all get to find out who the next bachelor is! Currently there are four guys left this season: Colton, Jason, Blake, and Garrett. They are all pretty great in their own respect, but who is the best fit for the next bachelor? Before I tell you my pick for the bachelor, let me tell you why I don’t think these three other guys are meant to be.
Okay, so Garrett would be a definite contender for the next bachelor, if Becca didn’t choose him in the end. Okay, so I know there is no way to confirm this until the end of the season, but like c’mon. She loves him. And I really think he loves her. They bring out the goofiness in each other, but can still have serious, real conversations together. After their first one-on-one, Becca literally couldn’t do her interviews because she was so giddy. So since Garrett is going to be the winner, he can’t be the next bachelor. Duh!
Although Colton is my personal fave, I mean who didn’t melt when they showed him with his older dog, I do not think he is going to be the next bachelor. From the beginning, Colton had a fair amount of drama that surrounded him, most notably him dating Tia, one of Becca’s friend. I think this kinda doomed him from the start. Becca seemed to get past it, but then this week he told her he was a virgin and she said “she needed a minute.” Weird move on her part. I think there is too much tension in their relationship now.
Although there would definitely be a ton of drama on Colton’s season, I don’t think the Bachelor franchise will be able to resist sending him to paradise, especially since Tia is already a confirmed contestant on it. You know how they love to create drama. So sadly, I don’t think we will be seeing a full season of Colton. Or his cute pup. But in happier news, this means he is still potentially on the market!
Let’s be honest, Jason didn’t have the best start with Becca. She forgot his name on the group date which was extremely cringe-worthy, yet the way he handled it really won America over. He kinda came out of nowhere, but here he is headed to hometowns! I had a really hard time choosing between him and my ultimate pick for the next bachelor because I do think he is such a sweet guy. He seems to really care about Becca and he gets along with all the guys, really proving he is a good dude. However, I think he is going to be shipped off to paradise with his buddy Colton, hopefully finding love!
Well, if you haven’t figured it out already, here is my ultimate pick for the next bachelor:
Blake stole everyone’s heart the moment he rode up on a horse on the After The Final Rose Ceremony after Arie’s season. He was so cute and genuine! On this season he has been kind of a dark horse, he is never involved in any drama and keeps kind of quiet, except when it comes to his feelings about Becca. He is super vocal about how he is falling in love with her and in the most recent episode, Becca declared him as her front-runner. Although this seems promising, I think sweet Blake is going to get blindsided by Becca when she picks Garrett. I can already see it happening and I already feel so bad him. The only thing that is going to be able to mend his broken heart is having others compete for his love! And lucky for him, I think there are many ladies willing to do so.
I do have a few concerns about my pick. One of them is that since he is so sweet, I do not know if he is going to be able to break all these hearts if he is faced with doing so. My next concern may sound trivial but he is not verified on Instagram, making me think that the Bachelor producers may not think he is popular enough for the gig. But, he still has a whopping 160 thousand insta followers so I think he’s doing just fine. Also, I did some research and you have to apply to get verified, so maybe this down-to-earth boy just hasn’t gotten around to it!
