A lot of people who say they dislike seafood just haven’t had it prepared properly. Sometimes all it takes is the right recipe for something to taste entirely different. Here are some of the best seafood recipes that will change just about anyone’s mind with regards to how delicious it is.
I hope you’ve had a lobster roll at some point in your life, because if not then you are seriously missing out. Making it fresh at home makes it that much better because you can choose the freshest ingredients and spice it up as you’d like. Start out with a fresh lobster and create a total masterpiece. Before you know it, you’ll be making lobster rolls that everyone you know will be salivating over.

Seafood chowder is one of my personal favourite meals no matter the season. Nothing hits the spot after a long day better than a comforting bowl of chowder. If you have anything leftover from any of the other seafood recipes on this list than it is a perfect excuse to whip up some chowder for everyone; seafood really is the gift that keeps on giving.

If you’re not entirely sure how you feel about seafood, salmon is definitely a good place to start. It doesn’t have an overly powerful fishy taste that will turn you off and is melt-in-your-mouth delicious when it’s prepared correctly. This recipe is pretty straightforward and will leave you with an end result of flavour-filled, moist meat every time.
Once you try out these crab cakes, you’ll be thanking me for finding the recipe. Crab cakes are, in my opinion, one of the best (and easiest) seafood recipes you could make. They’re flaky and tender and just mouthwateringly tasty. Crab cakes are also an easy way to introduce someone to seafood if they’re a bit skeptical because they don’t have an overwhelming “seafood” taste that some people associate other foods with.

I think that if I could live off of fish tacos of any kind I probably would. This recipe takes only 15 minutes to whip up and the end result is top notch. Fish tacos are one of the most fool-proof seafood recipes if you’re cooking for a crowd or if you’re not sure what everyone likes. The texture of the fish and the flavour of the sauce is utterly decadent in this recipe and I’m sure it will be a crowd pleaser no matter who you’re cooking for.

Mussels are one of my favourite foods to feast on in the summer. This recipe serves them in a tomato-wine broth that beautifully compliments the flavour of the mussel and therefore makes it one of my favourite seafood recipes on the list. The beautiful thing about mussels is that they rarely need to be paired with too much else because of how flavourful and filling they are by themselves.
Shrimp is such a versatile food and it would probably be good just about any way you choose to throw it into your summer repertoire of recipes to try. You can serve it in shrimp cocktail form as an appetizer, but for those who desire a tamer taste, this linguini recipe is perfect. It’s hard to go wrong with a good pasta dish, and this one gives a new and beautiful life to seafood.
