You’ve been fooled before. You’ve been lied to, deceived, and hurt. You were left broken by a love that betrayed your trust. You closed off your heart for a while in attempt to heal, but you’ve decided to open it back up again for a special someone. You’ve entered a new relationship and got yourself a new man, but still affected by your heartbreak, you are feeling insecure and questioning his every move.
You can’t help but notice every little thing your new man does that reminds of the warning signs your ex boyfriend had left you with. You are struggling internally as to whether you are just being overdramatic, or if something is really going on and you aren’t doing anything about it. You are constantly asking yourself that one earth shattering question.
Is your man cheating on you? This is a constant fear that every women has at one point in their life when in a committed relationship. You do not want to believe he is, and he may not be, but for some reason, you are feeling insecure and the question is on constant rerun in your mind.
Maybe you are noticing little things that just seem off, or maybe your man is not acting the same as when you both first met. This could just because the honeymoon has has fizzled out, or it could be because his eyes are on something, or someone, shiny and new.
Does your man turn his phone upside down when he is not using it? It’s not a coincidence. He does not want you to see whatever notifications are popping up on his lock screen.
He’s nervous he may get a notification that he does not want you to see and this causes him to try and hide those notifications from you in the least obvious way, by flipping his phone upside down so you cannot see it.
Is he answering your long thoughtful texts with short, one-word responses. Do you tell him how much you like him in a creatively crafted paragraph only to be answered by a “thanks” or a “me too?”
This is because his thoughts are elsewhere and he’s probably not even reading your texts. He either no longer cares what you have to say or he’s saving his thoughtful texts for someone else. If he’s being short with you, confront him. there might just be something going on in his life, or there could be a problem in the relationship.
When you ask your man a simple question like “what did you do last night,” does he answer you with an unnecessary and defensive tone of voice. Does he make you feel as if the question he asked you was wrong, or as if you should never be allowed to question his actions?
He’s doing this because he did something wrong and he thinks that being extra defensive will cause you to cower down and never question his actions again. This tactic works sometimes, but you are smarter than him. Take his defensiveness with a grain of salt and realize there is something shady going on.
Have you seen your man talking to or texting another girl you’ve never heard about? Did you confront him only to be answered by, “There’s nothing to worry about she’s just a friend?”
As much as you want to trust him and believe him, if you haven’t heard of her or met her before, she is definitely not “just a friend.” He never mentioned her before because he knew you would be uncomfortable with the thought of him talking to her. Whether he knows it or not, he is interested in her or vice versa and you need to nip it in the bud asap, or your relationship is only going downhill from there.
If your man accuses you of cheating whenever you go out or hang out with your friends, odds are, he’s probably the one cheating on you. It’s often the case that someone who accuses you of doing something is the on guilty of doing what they are accusing you of.
You are probably doing nothing wrong and might just think your boyfriend is being insecure and jealous, but you should be questioning his accusations and becoming skeptical of what he is doing when you are not around.
Did your man go ghost on snapchat maps or on find my friends? He probably told you that he “didn’t want everyone seeing where he was all the time,” or he probably told you some elaborate lie about “not wanting the government to watch him,” but this is all a lie.
He doesn’t care if everyone else sees where he is, but he does not want YOU to see where he is. He does not want you seeing when he’s out being sketchy, or meeting another girl in a random place. He most definitely does not want you knowing when he’s lying to you about where he’s going, so he does the easiest thing he can do, shuts off his location settings on all of his social media because the less you know, the better it is for him.
He might say he just doesn’t use his social media often, but the real reason he has never posted anything of you, or the two of you, on his social media is because he is trying to hide the fact he is in a relationship. Your man does not want other girls knowing that you exist because he still wants attention from these other girls.
Also, if there is no trace of you on his social media, then it is easier for him to deny your existence and claim that he does not have a girlfriend.
