20 Signs You Love Dogs More Than Humans

Dogs are truly the best animals and best friends to have. They become part of your family and most of the time, you’d rather interact with them than any other human on this earth. I could probably name a million, but here are 20 signs you love dogs more than humans!

1. Your primary form of interaction with humans is asking them to pet their dogs.

This is an obvious sign, because what other reason would I have to interact with humans?

2. But when you’re the one in need of some cuddling, you know exactly where to go.

Dogs make for the best cuddle partners and know how to make you feel been whenever you need it.

3. When you talk about the family you are going to raise someday, you are referring to your dogs.

Dog moms have just as much responsibility as regular moms and I can’t wait to have baby puppies running around.

4. You’d much rather be chasing dogs than boys.

Who needs boys when you have your dog who comes rushing to the door whenever you get home and cries when you leave?

5. And the only boys you could ever have interest in are the ones with dogs.

The one way I am going to find a boy is if he has a love for dogs just as much as I do. If there is no dog in our plan then there is no plan.

6. You will avoid people you know in public, but walk extreme distances out of your way to see a dog.

If I see a dog down the street, I will sprint as quickly as possible just to pat him. But going to my friends house 5 minutes away, forget about it.

7. You sometimes forget to feed yourself on busy days, but you’ll do anything to make sure your dog gets properly nourished.

You cannot let your dog go without his proper meals. What kind of dog mom would I be?

8. You judge humans without dogs, but love dogs without humans endlessly.

Are you even human if you don’t have a dog/had a dog in the past?

9. You’d rather take pictures of your dog than pictures of yourself any day. Because let’s be honest, who really looks better?

It will be the dog who looks better every. single. time.

10. You spend more money on your dog’s birthday than all of your friends’ birthdays combined.

Your dogs need to be spoiled too! You should see his stocking on Christmas.

11. You can be picky about personal space with humans, but all your rules go out the window when it comes to dogs.

My dog sits on my lap at dinner, lays across me at bed time, and used me as a personal seat while watching tv. But, if a human comes within my bubble in an elevator I may lose it.

12. There’s only one look that can melt your heart, and it’s this one.

Ugh, the puppy dog eyes.

 

13. You love and cuddle and snuggle and coddle your dog so much that sometimes your affection can be too much.

I think sometimes my dog is sick of me, but hey, he is stuck with me.

14. Walking your dog gives you deep emotional fulfillment, just knowing you have made his/her day better and provided your pupper with the exercise it needs.

There is something special about taking your dog for a walk and can help you release any stress you are feeling. It’s a win-win for the both of you.

15. Sometimes you go to parties just to hang out with the host’s dog.

“Want to go to this party”? “Does he have a dog”? The usual question I ask when my friends want to go out.

16. You spend so much time with your dog that sometimes you forget they aren’t human.

I ask my dog how my outfit looks, if I should fix my makeup, and what I should have for dinner.

17. Your friends can be flaky af, but you know you can always rely on your dog for their unfaltering loyalty.

My dog would never talk behind my back.

18. If you decide to be social and hang out with your friends, it’s always a BYOD event.

I live for doggy play dates.

19. You become a sleep-deprived monster when your friends wake you up from a nap, but you never mind being woken up by your fluffy buddy.

You can’t get mad at your dog when they lick you awake.

20. Humans may come and go, but dogs will be our best friends forever.
