Red, White And Blue Shot Recipes You Need To Try

The 4th of July means one thing: booze! There are so many shot recipes to try, but why not impress your friends with shots that match the theme of the day! If you are throwing a 4th of July party you have come to the right place! Here, we are going to have some shot recipes that you need to try! They are red, white, and blue (sometimes all three), and they are sure to knock your friends out of the water – both physically and visually. Here are four red, white, and blue shot recipes you need to try!

1. 4th of July Shooters

With only three ingredients, this shot is super easy to make, super delicious to taste, and super fun to drink? Three ingredients for three positives huh? I think yes! The ingredients that you need are half an ounce of grenadine, half an ounce of peach schnapps, and half an ounce of blue curacao. Then, comes the hard part. First, you pour the grenadine into a shot glass (I recommend using a clear shot glass to really show the shot). Second, you have to layer. Take the peach schnapps and layer it on top of the grenadine. This can easily mix into the other layer, so you have to be very careful. Finally, using the same precision, take the blue curacao and layer it on top of the peach schnapps. Be very careful and precise, and you will have a beautiful red, white and blue shot! This one will really impress all of your friends.

2. Red Snapper Shot

The Red Snapper Shot is not what you expect. It is not a cocktail, nor a bloody mary, but rather a really awesome shot. With the addition of cranberry, this shot tastes incredible. For the ingredients, we need an ounce of whiskey (the recommended whiskey is Crown Royal Canadian), an ounce of amaretto liquor, and two ounces of cranberry juice. Pour all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice, and then after mixing it all together it’s done and ready to take! This hot red shot will make your friends excited to celebrate the 4th of July!

3. Blue Kamikaze Shot

“Kamikaze” translates to “divine wind” in Japanese, and that is what this shot will make you think about, especially now that it is blue. The Kamikaze shot is one of the most popular shots that there are! However, this blue kamikaze shot is a slight variation of your typical Kamikaze shot. Where the original Kamikaze shot uses triple sec, we are going to use blue curacao. For this shot, you will need one part vodka, one part blue curacao, one part lime juice, and then a lime for the garnish. Using a shaking glass filled with ice, add the vodka, blue curacao, and lime juice, then shake, shake, shake, until you can’t anymore! Strain this into shot glasses and garnish it with some lime to add some zest. You will really impress your friends with this bright blue 4th of July shot!
