10 Recipes For Making The Ultimate Smoothie

Trying to stay fit and healthy can be a struggle sometimes. Maintaining that balance of trying to lead an active lifestyle on top of eating and drinking things that are good for you can be very difficult in itself. So for me, Smoothies have always been a great option as they are very healthy and contain all the vitamins and nutrients your body needs, they  help you contribute towards your 5-a-day fruit and veg intake and  they  also taste amazing! Down below, I have compiled a list of 10 smoothies that you yourself can make at home simply and easily!

Sunshine Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 500ml Carrot Juice, 200g pineapple, 2 bananas split into pieces, small amount of peeled ginger, 20g cashew nuts, small amount of lime juice

Add Ingredients in  this order to a blender and blend until your smoothie is properly mixed and then enjoy!

Super Berry Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 450g frozen berries, 450g of fat free  strawberry yogurt, 100ml of milk, 25g of porridge oats and 2 tablespoons of honey

Add Ingredients in  this order to a blender and blend until your smoothie is properly mixed and then enjoy!

Tropical Breakfast Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 3 passion fruits, 1 chopped up banana, 1 small mango, peeled and chopped, 300ml of orange juice and plenty of ice!

Add Ingredients in  this order to a blender and blend until your smoothie is properly mixed and then enjoy!

Mango and Banana Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 1 medium or large mango, 1 whole banana, 500ml of orange juice and plenty of ice!

Add Ingredients in  this order to a blender and blend until your smoothie is properly mixed and then enjoy!

Green Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 250ml of milk (whichever milk you prefer), 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed, 1 teaspoon of maca powder (optional), pinch of ground cinnamon, 1 medjool date stoned, 1 small ripened banana, handful of spinach and 1 tablespoon of almond butter

Add Ingredients in  this order to a blender and blend until your smoothie is properly mixed and then enjoy!

Cranberry and Raspberry Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 200ml of cranberry juice, 175g of frozen raspberry (defrosted), 100ml of milk (which ever milk you prefer), 200ml of natural yogurt, 1 tablespoon of caster sugar, mint sprigs (for decoration, up to you)

Add Ingredients in  this order to a blender and blend until your smoothie is properly mixed and then enjoy!

Peach Melba Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 410g canned or fresh peach segments, 100g of frozen raspberry, 100ml of orange juice, and 150ml of fresh custard

Coconut and Banana Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 100g of coconut yogurt, 3 tablespoons of milk  of your choice, 1/2 a teaspoon of ground tumeric, small amount of peeled ginger, 2 teaspoons of baobad powder, 1 small ripe banana, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of oats and juice of 1/2 a lemon!

Add Ingredients in  this order to a blender and blend until your smoothie is properly mixed and then enjoy!

Kiwi Fruit Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 3 peeled kiwi fruit, 1 mango peeled stoned and chopped, 500ml of pineapple juice and 1 sliced up banana

Add Ingredients in  this order to a blender and blend until your smoothie is properly mixed and then enjoy!

Watermelon and Peach Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: 3 cups of chopped up watermelon, 1 ripe peach, 1/2 cup of cold coconut milk, handful of ice, mint for garnish (optional)
