Picking a college to attend can be a very difficult decision. There lies pros and cons in every university that you apply to. However, the University of South Carolina’s pros stood out more to me than any other college. Here are five reasons why I chose to go to The University of South Carolina!
Columbia is a fun and entertaining city. You can try a famous sandwich from Groucho’s or go to the Riverbanks Zoo or even go shopping at the boutiques in 5 Points. Tons of famous artists come here to perform concerts. You are also only 2 and a half hours from Myrtle Beach, a popular beach for Spring Break. The list of exciting and fun opportunities that lie within Columbia are endless.
With the Horseshoe being the center of campus, you get to walk through this beautiful scenery almost everyday. Aside from walking to class through here, you can eno here, lay out on a blanket, have a picnic, or even study in peace. USC’s campus was too appealing to pass up.
When I toured the campus, every other object in the campus bookstore had the word “cocks” strewn across it. Even the tour guide and orientation leaders stated the fact that it is 100% acceptable to scream “COCKS” in almost any setting on campus. How fun is that?!
Attending a USC football is like no other SEC team. The atmosphere in the stadium is beyond describable. The team makes a fierce entrance to 2001- A Space Odyssey and the fans twirl their white towels around to Sandstorm. Who doesn’t want to jump around with a thousand other fans?? Forever to Thee!
Burgundy. Maroon. Neither. Our color is GARNET. And let me tell you something, everyone looks good in garnet. Your game day pictures will always turn out great! You can easily find cute clothes in any store also. Garnet is a total WIN!
Choosing a college was extremely difficult for me, but those 5 reasons are what made the University of South Carolina stand out compared to every other school. Choosing USC is definitely a choice you will not regret!
