6 Quick and Easy Cookie Recipes To Satisfy Those Sweet Cravings

These six sweet and simple cookie recipes are the perfect fix for those sugar cravings. A mixture of guilty pleasures with ‘healthier’ options included – you just have to try!

1. Banana Oat Cookies

Ingredients:

½ Cup Unsalted Butter

1 Cup All Purpose Flour

1 Large Egg

½ Tsp. Baking Powder

2 Cups Rolled Oats

30ml Milk

2 Large Ripe Bananas – Mashed into a paste

1 Tbsp. Chopped Dried Cranberries

1 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon Powder

Method:

  • Combine Flour, Baking Powder and Cinnamon in a bowl
  • In a separate bowl, cream sugar and butter until smooth. The Stir in the Egg, Milk and Mashed Bananas.
  • Add spoonfuls of the flour mixture into the Banana mixture until all is combined. Stir in the Oats and Cranberries.
  • Use Ice Cream scoop to shape balls of cookie dough, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake at 185 Celsius for 12-15 minutes – or until the tops are golden brown.

2. Nutty Flapjack Cookies

Ingredients:

4 Cups Rolled Oats

½ Cup Unsalted Butter – melted

1 Cup Maple Syrup

½ Cup Chopped Almonds

½ Cup Chopped Walnuts

5 Pitted Dated – Finely Chopped

Method:

  • Combine all ingredients into a large bowl until fully incorporated.
  • Grease the bottom and sides of a shallow baking pan (roughly around 11 X 11 inches)
  • Empty Contents into baking pan, and spread evenly
  • Bake at 185 Celsius For 15-20 minutes – or until the top crust is crisp and Golden

3. Protein Power Cookies

Ingredients:

½ Cup All Purpose Flour

½ Tsp. Baking Powder

1 Cup Castor Sugar

½ Cup Unsalted Butter

30ml Milk

1 Large Egg

½ Cup Ground Flaxseed

½ Cup Protein Powder

2 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

¼ Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

Method:

  • Combine Flour, Flaxseed, Protein Powder, Baking Powder, Salt in a bowl
  • Cream the Sugar and Butter until smooth and fluffy. Stir in Egg, Vanilla, Milk and Chocolate Chips until all ingredients are combined well.
  • Stir In spoonfuls of the flour mixture until all is combined.
  • Use Ice Cream scoop to shape balls of cookie dough, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake at 185 Celsius for 15 minutes – or until tops are golden brown

4. Pear And Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients:

1 ½ Cups All Purpose Flour

¾ Cup Sugar

½ Cup Unsalted Butter

I Large Egg

30ml Milk

½ Tsp. Baking Powder

½ Cup Cocoa Powder

¼ Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

1 Cup Canned Pear Halves – Chopped and Strained

1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
