3 Products that can Help Shape Your Face

We look at celebrities today and unfortunately can’t help but compare ourselves to them. Some may even go as far as actually proceeding with costly procedures. But what if I told you you can achieve the look you desire without having to go under the knife? What if there was a way to cost efficiently shape your face? Would you do it? Here are 3 products that can help shape your face!

1. Guasha

In the beginning of 2021 a product called the Guasha took people by storm! Although the Guash made its appearance way before 2021, it just recently started to gain attraction from a younger audience thanks to the TikTok app. The Guasha was made between 1368 and 1644 but is thought to date even farther back to the 700’s during the era of the Ming Dynasty. Now what is Guasha? Guasha is a traditional Chinese healing method professionals would use to mold and shape the face and body. It’s commonly used today to define cheek and jawline bones but can also be used on waist and neck as well.

This product is very affordable and retails up to $5-20 depending on the crystal you decide to purchase. These crystals can range from quartz all the way down to amethyst, so its important you choose the right stone for yourself as this is also a healing tool. Another thing to look out for is the shape of the tool, fortunately they all work similar but the shape of the tool determines how your face will look. Some of the other shape tools are meant to define a specific part of your body. For example, there’s one shaped similar to a fish specifically for jawline, there’s one that looks like the moon for cheekbones, there’s even one that looks like a normal square but its used for neck. Finding the right one can be tricky, but with some research you can easily find the ones you need.

Its important to remember this is considered a traditional healing tool so its vital one does the research not just on the stone but on the equipment. You can also find picture tutorials on Pinterest of how to maneuver the tools around your face.

2. Lifting Roller Massager

Another great face shaping too is the Lifting Roller Massager. Lots of models such as Bella Hadid, Kendal Jenner, Kaia Gerber, and so much more have what looks like hollowed out cheeks, which gives them “The Tim Burton Look”. This procedure is called Buccal removal, where they go inside of your mouth, make a tiny incision, and pull excess face fat out leaving your cheeks hollowed out defining the cheekbones and jawline. Sounds easy right? Well it might not be so easy coming up with $3k-8k to get the procedure. The Lifting roller massager gives you the same exact results as the surgery would but is way less expensive. The new product runs for about $20-70 depending on the model.

These also range from different styles and purposes, for example the one seen below is to help lift your face and slowly define your cheekbones, but the less expensive and more traditional product would be the one made from a healing stone just like the Guasha. This one would be considered more expensive due to its multiple use abilities. Unlike the Guasha the Lifting Roller can be used for cheek bone refining, jawline refining, eyebrow lifting, and so much more. You can find this product or its sisters on Amazon or on traditional Guasha websites.

3. Crystal Face Roller

The last way you can shape your face is a tool very similar to the roller but is more affordable and can be bought at your local CVS. The Crystal Face Roller is a more commonly seen tool you see your favorite celebrities use in their Vogue get ready with me videos. To get the best use out of this product you’ll have to do a bit of research before; it’s said you can’t just use any crystal. The model you want is Jade, Rose Quartz, Tourmaline, and Amethyst as these are considered healing stones which plays a huge part in the history and design of the product. The face roller can cost up to $5-30 and some come with more than one or an entire set of face healing/ sculpting stones. These are the more commonly seen face definers, the ones we see in our parents bathroom or the ones we see celebrities using to roll the puffiness from their faces.

The only downside to all these products is that you wont see results right away! But just like working out, overtime you’ll see results. Unfortunately many people don’t realize our face has muscles and fat that can be exercised and burned off, so they go to get cosmetic surgery but that’s not always an option for everyone. It’s important before you buy any of the listed items to find out exactly what you want to look like and figure out which tools are going to help with that exact look. Just like before you go to the gym to work on your abs and you know exactly what machine to use to achieve the looks, the same applies to face shaping tools.

Fun Fact:

I myself have purchased a Guasha in hopes to shape my face after seeing it on the popular app Tiktok, and I’ve been using it for months now but I first started noticing results three weeks in! For the best results I suggest watching the tutorial videos on YouTube or TikTok and do it at least 3 times a day for 15-20 minutes. Lastly a VERY IMPORTANT step to take before using any of these tools on your face is to gently moisturize your face the the tool can easily glide through your face.

With a few tutorials and a couple weeks you should see results in no time. What are some other face shaping tools? How long did it take you to see results if you already have one?
