10 Places To Visit That Will Make You Love Snow

Snow can be quite the acquired taste, and many people have a distaste for winter and all the things that come with it. But, I’m sure with a little proof everyone can agree that snow is great (even if just to look at). Below are 10 places to visit that will make you love snow:

1. Eden Prairie Ice Castles

To be honest, I’m sure many of these will be in Minnesota because I’m partial to good ol MN, but this one is a can’t miss if you’re trying to convince yourself that winter has good things to offer.

2. Maplelag

A small, cross country skiing, hiking, or a plethora of other winter activities, resort in Callaway, Minnesota. I’m sure you can’t leave Maplelag without at least a little bit of love for snow.

3. Copper Mountain

You really can’t go wrong with Colorado, but there is something special about Copper Mountain. Maybe it’s the small village feel or the friendliness of the staff, but Copper Mountain is a must-see. There is nothing better than mountains to convince oneself that snow is worth it.

4. Sedona, Arizona

I know, I know, why did I include a city in Arizona on this list? Because it does snow in Arizona and Sedona is the perfect place to visit if you need to warm up to snow first (pun not intended) before tackling colder climates.

5. Banff, Canada

If you’re feeling truly ambitious and are willing to head out of the US to learn to love snow, Banff is the place. I think the only thing you need for convincing is to see this picture:

6. Central Park

We’ve all seen the Christmas rom-coms set in New York City, but Christmas in “The City” is truly spectacular and no one leaves without a tad more love for snow and the magic it brings to the city.

7. Aspen, Colorado

I thought I was going to make it through this list with just one Colorado destination, but honestly you can’t go wrong with Aspen. It feels like a movie walking through the town and it doesn’t get better than that.

8. Concord, New Hampshire

If you’re feeling like you need a little East Coast to convince you to love snow, Concord is the place to go. It has been an established winter getaway for years and has plenty of things to do that will indirectly make you love the snow.

9. Traverse City, Michigan

I’m surprised it took me this long to add Michigan to this list. You really can’t go wrong with anywhere in Michigan, but Traverse City has all the stuff one needs for a good winter vacation.

10. Spokane, Washington

Washington has so much to offer, but Spokane is the perfect place to go if you want to find a love for snow. The skiing is great, and so are the people.
