10 Pieces Of College Dorm Supplies You Don't Want To Forget

When moving into college, there are many essentials that you may not even think of bringing. From extra batteries to cushions that will make seating more comfortable, you’ll want to be as prepared as possible. Here are 10 pieces of college dorm supplies you don’t want to forget.

HDMI Cables

When I first moved into my college dorm, I completely forgot about bringing an HDMI cable. If you’re someone who plans on bringing a TV with you to college, you’ll most definitely want to pack an HMI cable. After receiving an HDMI cable in the mail, I was able to not only stream off of my laptop, but hook up my laptop to the TV in the common room for movie nights with friends. In addition to this, I was able to use my HDMI cable when playing video games. Although you might have access to TV channels in the area, most college students prefer to watch Hulu, Netflix, or YouTube. If you’re someone who prefers to watch your shows on your TV rather than your laptop, an HDMI cable will be a lifesaver.

Batteries

Although you might not think of bringing batteries, you never know when they’ll come in handy. When I moved into college, I needed batteries for lamps, fairy lights, and electronics that I had brought with me. By having extra batteries with me, I could easily replace ones that had died without having to go to the store. Even if the products you’re bringing with you might not require batteries, there’s a good chance you’re going to need them at some point in your college career. It never hurts to be overly prepared.
