OnlyFans, Why Women Are Choosing To Use The Site To Grow Their Bank Accounts

Social media platforms are part of the zeitgeist and are becoming relevant innovations for everyday life. They help to connect people around the world, giving us a glimpse of one another from a distance. They offer us the ability to connect, sell, buy, and be inspired by others with like-minded (and not so like-minded) individuals and companies. OnlyFans has become one of the fastest-growing side hustles for women. OnlyFans is a social media site that allows creators to charge monthly fees for fans and followers to access their content. Although OnlyFans is primarily used for adult content, several creators use it for different reasons. The OnlyFans site has seen an influx of food and fitness influencers using it to promote exclusive recipes or workouts.

Money Is Good AF!

OnlyFans is a subscription-based website allowing followers to gain access to a creators page and follow their exclusive content. Each account generates an amount of money, giving 80% to the creator themselves. The remaining 20% goes to the OnlyFans company to keep the website running and generate revenue. Subscribers can request content from creators which often comes at a higher price point and allows the creator to make more money. Subscribers will pay anywhere from $5 to $50, depending on the content they wish to view and the influencers they choose to follow. Over $50,000,000 has already been paid out to content creators and the amount continues to rise day by day. As unemployment rates continue to skyrocket, more and more women are turning to OnlyFans to generate some cash.

Confidence Boost

We all know that it is difficult to build a relevant following through any social media platform. You have to be able to read your audience, deliver (daily), and continuously create content that attracts more and more followers. Once accomplished, this can be a huge confidence boost. With this confidence boost, women can continue to create quality content to sell through the site, allowing for their following to continue to grow, and their confidence to continue to grow. OnlyFans allows for content creators and influencers to interact with their followers on a level not allowed by other sites. Essentially, sex sells, and selling sex can generate a massive level of confidence for the seller.

An Alternative To Sex Work

The sex industry has always been a lucrative industry for both women and men. However, with the changing times, it can be a rather dangerous sport. Many sex workers experience harassment, sexual assault, or theft, with an overwhelming amount of minority women experiencing these at an alarming rate. Webcamming and adult photos have become an attractive way for sex workers to make money and a safer way of performing. They can attract clients and followers through online sites, promote their work, without having to interact face to face with clients. OnlyFans allows for these workers to promote their work, sell their work, and still remain safe. OnlyFans also helps to protect their content creators with the subscription-based policy. For people to view the content, they must pay for it and have a government-issued ID. This allows for the OnlyFans company to track who is subscribed to the site and monitor who follows who. If a subscriber ever establishes an unsafe interaction or environment for the creator, the company has ways of protecting the creator and making sure that all information is safe and secure.

Ability To Post Whatever, Whenever

Unlike other social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, OnlyFans lets content creators post whatever they want. Instagram and Facebook all have policies restricting the publishing of nude photos and adult related videos. Instagram and Facebook alike require you to censor content that violates these policies. Twitter does not have as strict of rules when it comes to adult content, however, it does not allow for all videos and photos to be posted and will screen any that are flagged as inappropriate. OnlyFans is one of the only sites that allow for creators to post whatever type of content they want, and at whatever rating they so desire. This makes it a lucrative site for sex workers and amateur porn developers. Some social media sites will also use algorithms to establish who will see your content and when they will see it. Since OnlyFans is a subscription-based website, followers will see the content that is posted by those that they follow, as often as they’d like and when they would like. However, they are not able to see posts by content creators that they do not follow.

Many Have Lost Jobs Due To The Pandemic.

Unemployment has skyrocketed and more and more women are looking for ways to make extra money. Unemployment has hit the country hard during COVID19, with companies furloughing employees and businesses shutting down, the ability to make extra money is becoming increasingly difficult. Many workers who rely on tips are no longer receiving this income, people who entertain are no longer able to make a living wage, people are having an increasingly difficult time paying their bills. Many women are turning to OnlyFans to make extra cash and establish a following that will carry them through the rest of the Pandemic.

As social media platforms continue to generate followers and revenue, content creators are finding lucrative ways to increase their bank accounts. With Instagram and Facebook continuously generating revenue for its creators, people are beginning to branch out to continue to grow their following and increase their incomes. Influencers and content creators alike are finding sites that allow them to share content and generate income based on followers and the content that they post. OnlyFans has become one of the fastest-growing sites for people (18+) to make an income, while completely controlling the content that they produce and the followers that they gain. OnlyFans has become one of the top money-making sites for content creators; women and men alike and is not slowing down any time soon.
