Low-Key Spring Break Destinations For The College Student Who Needs To Relax

Finding the right spring break destinations to pick from can be frustrating! Do you want to go out of the country or stay in? There are a lot of questions that surround the ultimate goal: relaxation! Most of us need some TLC this spring break so why not pick a place devoted to making your time there relaxing!

1. Belize

Belize is a great place to spend a week in the sand, under the sun with nothing but a drink in your hand. This place isn’t crowded and can be one of the best places to relax and have a good time. Whether you like sun bathing in the all day or enjoying a bonfire at night, you’ll love everything about this place!

It is warm all the time which makes this a great spot for those who need some vitamin C! You can explore with Belize has to offer by taking a journey into the depths of the ocean or explore ancient sites you never get the chance to see otherwise!

You’ll have a great time swimming in the ocean has you see turtles or fish swim next to you! The water is so clear that you are able to see the bottom of shallow water! You can see become one with this place of amazing sites and sounds as you explore everything there is to know about Belize.

2. Amelia Island, Florida

If you are looking for a place that is family oriented and quiet, Amelia Island is the place for you. It has beautiful sunsets and nice water! You won’t want any other place has spring break destinations! Amelia Island is peaceful and a great place to have a small group of people lounging around and enjoy each others company!

This isn’t the party scene nor will there be kegs, but the atmosphere is great for those needing time to relax and have a good time away from the parties! This Island has everything you could ever want with it’s great beach and tons of things to do! Having a great beach with less people is very hard to come by and when it does, you should snatch it before it’s too late!

3. New Orleans

Spring break destinations don’t get better than New Orleans and its rich culture! You can do everything here and have the time of your life. There is so much to see that you’ll have to come back for more! New Orleans offers many attractions and allows you to see this wonderful city as it should be! This wonderful place offers cultures which you will be immersed the second you are in this city.

Surrounded by water, you’ll be jumping into a city that is hands on and full of food and drinks that you have to be a part of. With Gumbo being the highlight of this city, you’ll have to try all of this famous and favorite dishes! If you love history and looking about at architecture, this is the city for you!  This is truly one of the spring break destinations you won’t want to miss out on! 

4. Savannah, Georgia

Savannah has many unique qualities that will make you fall in love with the scenery! If you love food, you’ll always have food straight from the coast and a drink at every meal. You’ll be enchanted by the fairy tail life style that Savannah has to offer! There are 22 squares that you can walk around it and it is incredible. Although there was originally 24, you can still become immersed into the culture of Savannah and the beautiful greenery!

You can take a cruise on the river or walk the nine blocks and see the history of this amazing escape! You’ll be able to have a beach day at Tybee Island which is only a 20 minute drive from this lovely town! If you are a ghost lover, this is the place for you! You can go on ghosts hunts and will be able to see hot spots where there is a lot of activity!

You can go on a pub crawl and ghost tours including midnight tours to get you into the ghostly mood! If you are unsure about what to do first, go on a tour of the city! They will show you all of the best places to go for those looking for a good time! If you love music and want to go to a music festival, check the city’s website to see of the latest events going on that month! 

5. Scottsdale, Arizona

A place that allows you to become one with yourself, Scottsdale is one of the spring break destinations that you have to go check out! With an emphasis on nature and the outdoors, you won’t go anywhere better that is full of bettering your health and make you ready for the rest of the spring semester. Do you need a week off of thinking and being so tense? There are hundreds of miles of trial which you can hike at any time and there are classes you can take that will ease your body and soul! You will do a lot of soul searching you may be looking in the right direction! Do you love the heat? You’ll have many opportunities to get the tan you wanted just by sitting outside!

6. Orlando, Florida

The home of the great park of all time, Disney World, this city has many attractions which make this the destination for you if you love walking around a mall park or Disney World Parks in general. This city offers shuttles anywhere around Disney and has great a great place to go shopping at the end of the day, after the park. It is the place to go if you wanted to spend the day a couple years younger and relive your dream of meeting characters and seeing the tree of life!
