Everyone loves a good fourth of July party. The summer sun, backyard games, relaxing pool, and of course, great grilled food and delicious snacks. After all, what’s a fourth of July party without fourth of July themed party food? Make sure all of the guests at your bash know what they’re there for with this list of delicious fourth of July themed party foods. You can never go wrong in July with red, white, and blue colored food items, especially for the biggest holiday of the summer season.

1. Fruit Tray:

A classic fourth of July party food is the fruit tray. Probably because everyone loves a great fruit tray, especially at summer parties. If you want the first thing that you guests see to be beautiful, organized, and edible go for a festive fruit tray in the shape of an American flag. Strawberries or raspberries would be great for the red stripes and blueberries would be perfect for the deep blue corner. For the white stripes, you could put down some yogurt covered pretzels, white dragon fruit slices, and even yogurt covered nuts, raisins, or craisins. Not only will this be a patriotic display, but it will also be a delicious one.

2. Meat and Cheese Platter:

A great way to make sure your party guests are taken care of (and not feeling too hangry) when they first arrive at your celebration is to put out a meat and cheese platter. This fourth of July party food will tide everyone over till you get to grilling the hot dogs and hamburgers. Load up the platter with cheddar cheese, pepperoni, salami, blue cheese, crackers, mozzarella cheese, berries and nuts for a truly eye-catching display. Set this dish up in the shape of an American flag in order for it to be viewed as even more of a crowd-pleaser.

3. Fourth of July Jello Shots:

Everyone loves Jello, and a lot of people love jello shots too. These jello shots will look amazing stacked up on the table proudly displaying those red, white, and blue layers. You can use cherry or strawberry jello for the red layer and then blue raspberry jello for the blue layer on top. To make the middle white layer, just mix coconut milk with a flavorless gelatin packet. You also can definitely make a totally alcohol-free version of these travel-sized shots of jello if you wish. Just don’t add the vodka or tequila and you have another alachol free snack for your fourth of July celebration.

4. Festive Salad:

You can’t have a table of fourth of July party food without a summery and patriotic salad. It’s just the way it is. Showcase the season’s berries and vegetables in an amazingly decorated salad for your party table. Summer is the season for delectable and juicy strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries but it, of course, showcases some great vegetables as well. Cucumbers, deep greens, bell peppers, and zucchini are some of the season’s most delicious veggies and it just wouldn’t be right not to put them in your fourth of July holiday salad. Use a cookie cutter or a knife to make star shapes in the cucumbers and zucchini and soon you will have a beautiful looking salad for all of your party guests.

5.  Hot Dog Bar:

Get ready for the best fourth of July party food. Because I really don’t think anything is more synonymous with the fourth of July than hot dogs. So, why not have a full hot dog bar as the centerpiece of your party? Or at least have the hot dogs be the center of the party table because everyone will be wanting to reach for them. Set the hot dog bar up with everyone’s favorite toppings like melted cheese, relish, jalapenos, bacon, onions, and even avocados. Of course, don’t forget the ketchup and mustard.

6.  Festive Popcorn:

After the perfectly grilled hot dogs and hamburgers you all devoured at your party, your guests might be looking for something that is salty and a little sweet. Enter this festive popcorn mix that you’ll just be able to scoop into a cup and continue making your rounds around the backyard. This great popcorn snack includes plain popcorn and melted marshmallows as the base. After you’ve combined those two ingredients, add in colorful sprinkles, mini marshmallows, and red and blue M&M’s. Everyone will be coming back for more of this easy and tasty treat, you may have to make it for your friends for more than just the fourth of July.

Towards the end of the food table, you’ll start to get the delectable sweets and these cake pops should definitely be the kick-off of the dessert section. This is a delicious dessert that would be perfect for any backyard party since people can just grab it and go. Your guests will love munching on a sweet treat while still being able to continue their bocce game. To make these treats look especially eye-catching, organize them in a fourth of July display. Cover one portion of the cake pops in dark blue fondant or candy melts and then place white or silver star sprinkles on them. Cover the rest of your cake pops in red fondant or red candy melts. Then, drizzle melted white chocolate on top of them. Arrange them on a platter and then you are on your way to the most put-together dessert area or table ever.

8. White Chocolate Strawberries:

Another great way to showcase, arguably, The fourth of July party food, strawberries, is to just serve the whole berry. Dipped in chocolate and sprinkles of course! Chocolate strawberries have always been a favorite at any get together that I’ve gone to and at this point of the year, no one will say no to fresh berries; no matter what form they come in! To make this treat, leave a bit of the red top of the strawberry showing and you have your red stripe. Then, dip the strawberry in melted white chocolate. While it’s still wet dip the end into blue sprinkles. Put the strawberries in the fridge to set and when it’s time to set up the dessert table they’ll be ready and on the top of everyone’s list to taste.
