8 Instagram Worthy Beaches Around The US

Now that summer is slowly approaching, that means that beach days are also coming. There’s nothing more relaxing than spending a hot summer day at the beach and no matter where you decide to vacation this summer, I can assure you that there will at least a couple beautiful beaches close to you. I mean, it wouldn’t be summer without a beach trip, right? I’ve decided to put together a list of some of the prettiest beaches around the US that are perfect for your summer Instagram feed. Whether you’re vacation in sunny California, Florida, or even the coasts of Portland, there are an immense amount of beautiful beaches that you can stop at for a beach day. Not only will you get that summer tan you’ve always wanted, but the pictures you’ll take there will have everyone jealous of your photo-worthy summer.

1. Clearwater Beach, Florida

This beach is often voted one of the best beaches in the US for several reasons. Not only is the literal beach incredible, but the surrounding area is just as amazing. The beach sand here is white, smooth, and that makes it a little less irritating. The sunsets are incredible, adding to the aesthetic that makes it one of the most beautiful beaches. The area is full of really cool street art, bars, and breathtaking views from the various places to stay. And Caladesi Island is just a short boat ride away and somewhere you can go for a more quiet, less crowded day. Clearwater Beach is one of Florida’s most beautiful beaches and the perfect stop if you happen to be in the area.

2. Hanauma Bay, Honolulu, Hawaii

Of course, Hawaii is where everyone would like to spend their summer. The island alone has some of the US’ most beautiful beaches just for themselves. If you happen to be in Honolulu this summer you need to make a trip to Hanauma Bay. This beach is perfect for snorkeling because you’ll see many different kinds of marine wildlife like butterflyfish, sea turtles, and even dolphins. The water is a beautiful blue, the people are incredible, and the volcano crater that filled up with seawater makes it one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Hawaii.

3. La Jolla Cove, California

So many seals. There are so many seals to see at La Jolla Cove. The beach is surrounded by stunning rock formations, caves, seals, and pretty shades of blue water. Even though it’s a smaller beach, it is still one of the most beautiful beaches in the US and worthy of a stop if you make your way to the San Diego area. There’s kayaking and snorkeling in La Jolla too if you want to get further out on the water and away from the crowds that the seals tend to bring in. And surrounding the beach are various shops, restaurants, and bars that are perfect for some after beach exploring. La Jolla Cove is a definite beautiful beach stop because every part of it is worthy of a picture and perfect for your summer Instagram feed.

4. Cannon Beach, Oregon

Not far from Portland, Cannon Beach is one of the US’ ruggedly beautiful beaches. and worthy of a stop if you are up in the Pacific Northwest. There you’ll find the infamous Haystack Rock, a landmark that rises an incredible 235 feet above the ocean floor. It’s one of the most Instagram worthy things to take a picture with on this entire list. You can take a dip in a tidal pool nestled in between some other crazy rock formations then take a nice stroll through the nature that surrounds the area. You might not consider Oregon as a place that has beautiful beaches at first, but once you make it to Cannon Beach you’ll immediately think different.

5. North and South Padre Island, Texas

I remember the first time someone told me they were going to a beach in Texas and at first I thought they were crazy. Texas is just a giant state covered in dirt and desert, then more dirt and desert. At least that’s what I thought until I saw the Padre Islands and was convinced they were some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Granted, I went to South Padre for Spring Break and was greeted by water, sun, and a lot of drinking, but when I made it to North Padre Island a couple years later the experience was completely different. North Padre had wildlife and nature that was perfect for just walking and taking it all in. And the sunset in Texas? Reflecting off of beach water? Incredible. I was skeptical of there being a good beach in Texas, but both of these were beautiful beaches in their own different and beautiful way.

6. Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore, Empire, Michigan

Yes, lakes have beaches too. Some of the most beautiful beaches at that. Empire, Michigan has a glorious 65 miles of beach for you to explore even. And because the beaches enclose lakes and not oceans, the beautiful blue water is sea-salt free. Massive sand dunes surround the Sleeping Bear Lakeshore and when you stand upon them you get a spectacular view of Lake Michigan. This view alone is photo-worthy and will make you forget that one of the most beautiful beaches is located in Michigan.

7. Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island, Georgia

If you want to take your significant other to one of the most romantic beaches in the US, then Driftwood Beach is your stop. It gets its name from the ancient driftwood that covers the shoreline. The water is a stunning blue-green that mirrors the green that comes from the forestry that covers the island. Perching yourself and your partner on the soft sand or a nice piece of driftwood during an evening sunset is one of the most romantic things to do at one of the most beautiful beaches in the US. The beach is open all year long and is just as stunning during the fall and winter months. Bring your partner and your camera to this beautiful beach to encapsulate the beauty of the island and your relationship.

8. Coligny Beach, Hilton Head, South Carolina

Hilton Head is a vacation destination on my list because everyone I know that has been there claims that it is the most amazing place to go. Coligny Beach is just a small chunk of Hilton Head but it is one of the area’s most beautiful beaches. There’s a nice boardwalk that leads you to pristine sands and calm waters. While the water isn’t suited for surfing, it’s nice and calm so you can plop yourself on the sand and just watch its calming movements. The entire area is charming, making it one of the US’ beautiful beaches. and a spot that is often encouraged you visit at least once in your life. Plus there are also shops, restaurants, and countless spots to take pictures for your Instagram.

What are some of your favorite beaches to visit around the US? Planning on seeing any of them this summer? Let us know in the comments!
