I have no qualms about saying that I love the colder seasons. I’m all about fall and winter—the fashion for these two seasons is EVERYTHING. Who else agrees? I love looking cozy and cute in my favorite chunky sweater, leggings, and thigh-high boots in the winter. Or, how about wearing dark denim, chunky boots, an oversized sweater, and a leather jacket during autumn? That outfit sounds just perfect!

Although there aren’t a lot of these pieces that you can take with you into the warmer months, there is one item that you can take right from fall/winter into spring/summer, without a doubt.: the leather jacket! Just when you thought that there weren’t many ways you can style a dark leather (or pleather) jacket during the days that it is bright and sunny, and when no one wants to think about jackets, we’re about to change that for you.

1. The Skater Dress

The summer screams for skater dresses. They’re not only cute and flirty, but they flow perfectly and are the perfect length for any time of day—wear ’em to brunch, a shopping trip with the girls, or be extra cute during your date with your skater dress on. Now, you can take the fashion quotient up a notch by throwing a leather jacket on top to complete your look. Carry one with you, you never know when you’ll need a little leather when the summer nights get a little crisp.

This one is unique and PERFECT for the summer. We always think of leather jackets coming in black and brown, but with warmer temperatures upon us, feel free to experiment with the color of your jacket as well. Mustard is all the rage right now, so pick one up and pair it with your favorite summer outfit this year. You can even opt for an all white and mustard look, too. It’s classy and chic.

5. The Wide-Legged Trousers

We all reserve our wide-legged trousers with the Spring/Summer because you just can’t wear them in the snow—they’ll have snow and slush all over them in a matter of minutes. You can wear your trousers to work, and then dress ’em down for drinks during happy hour by draping the jacket over your shoulders—you don’t even have to WEAR it!
