You may have seen videos on Instagram, or heard through word of mouth that eyeshadow lipstick is the shit- and I’m here to say what you’ve heard is correct. That’s right, customizing and producing your own lip color is super easy and involves just a few simple steps, and I promise you, anyone can do it. So if you’re curious as to how to make lipstick out of eyeshadow, this is your hack!
What You’ll Need:
Figuring out which eyeshadows you want to use is important, because A – you don’t want to ruin eyeshadow(s) that you’d still wear on your eyes, but B – you want to make sure whichever eyeshadow(s) you choose is the color you want to wear on your lips! The eyeshadow acts as the pigment for your DIY lipstick, so you want to make sure it’s a color you like!
Using your microwaveable safe bowl, mash up a teaspoon’s worth of eyeshadow until it’s turned into a powder. There are a number of ways you can do this, using a Q-tip, an eating utensil, or even a stick – whatever floats your boat.
Now it’s time to mix that petroleum jelly in there, add a tablespoon of this to your eyeshadow pigment. If the jelly to eyeshadow ratio seems too dull for your liking, then you’re welcome to add more eyeshadow to create a more intense pigment.
Using that handy microwaveable bowl, microwave the combination until it becomes runny! Once this happens, mix it with a spoon to make sure the eyeshadow pigment is distributed evenly!
Just place your lipstick into a container, let it harden and you’re eyeshadow lipstick is complete!
