10 Hair Products You’ll Be Obsessed With

After a few years of bleaching and frying my hair, I finally stopped damaging it and started my Hair Growth Journey. I dyed my hair brown, which is my natural color, and dedicated my time to make sure it grew healthy. These hair products I’m about to bless you with have absolutely saved my hair, so I’ll be nice and share them.

1. Olaplex–$28/bottle

Normally, I’d turn my head away from these products because they’re pricey and I don’t have the funds. I am now learning sometimes hair products are worth the money because they actually work, duh. I started by just purchasing the No. 0, the Intensive Bond Building Treatment, and No. 3, the Hair Perfector. You put No. 0 on damp hair and then 10 minutes later follow up with No. 3, after 10 more minutes you shower, shampoo, and condition as normal. This had my hair silky smooth, shiny, and overall just in better condition after one use. That’s insanity, so I bought the shampoo and conditioner to accompany that glorious feeling.

2. Hair Scalp Massager–$8

I saw these on TikTok and didn’t believe the hype at first, but then I caved and bought one. At school, the water quality is so damaging to my hair and causes immense buildup. No matter what I tried, there was always a greasy patch in the back of my scalp. Enter the hair scalp massager. This is one of the cheapest, most useful hair products I could ever purchase. You use it when you put your shampoo on your head, and then you just massage your shampoo with it. So you’re getting your scalp massage, and you’re eliminating dandruff and buildup. Win/win.

3. It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product–$37.99

Another splurge item that has changed my life for the better. Since I use heat on my hair and had so much breakage from the bleach, my friend recommended this to help reverse the damage. I use it after I shower every day and it prevents breakage, heals split ends, and controls frizz. It is everything you need in a hair product and then some. It also lasts you a while, so you get your money’s worth. 10/10 queen of hair products.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo–$10

Once a week, I like to use a detoxifying shampoo on my hair. Apple cider vinegar shampoos do just the trick. As long as it does not contain sulfate, any brand will do. Using this with the scalp massager gets rid of any extra product residue in your hair, but be wary because overusing it with toner in your hair can dull the effect. Even your hair needs a detox sometimes though.

5. Hydrating Mask–$20

If I am using an ACV shampoo, I like to follow it up with a hydrating hair mask to restore the moisture in my hair. In lieu of conditioner, leave this in your hair for 10 minutes or so after shampooing. You can shave, sing some songs, whatever really you want to do, and then rinse it out. Your hair will be so soft post-shower, and it won’t be greasy or anything, just soft and luscious.

6. Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer–$35

Another TikTok product that I caved and bought and fell in love with, shocker. Seriously though you absolutely need one of these if you don’t have one. Do you ever want to shower before you go out but don’t because you would have to blow dry and style your hair? Problem solved. This does all of the work for you, literally. So if you want to go to the gym two hours before you go out, this is one of those hair products you need. You can even curl your hair with it, need I say more?

7. The Beachwaver–$130

Speaking of curling your hair, say hello to my best friend. I never learned how to curl my own hair because I am not coordinated, but then one glorious day I stumbled upon The Beachwaver. It curls your hair for you. All you have to do is clamp it and press the button in the direction you want the curl. It is so easy, I now curl my hair every time I go out with no help needed. If Kendall Jenner has used The Beachwaver, you know it’s going to be good.

8. Batiste Dry Shampoo–$14

I hope this is one of those hair products you already have on your vanity. If not, please buy this life-saving product. If you don’t want to shower and you’re looking a little too greasy to leave the house, spray some dry shampoo on your roots and work through your hair. It’ll leave your hair smelling good and looking a bit more voluminous. Please, please do not spray it too close to your root because it will show up white on your hair and you have to work really hard to get it out.

9. OGX Creamy Hair Butter–$8.99

You can use this as a leave-in conditioner that does not break the bank. It smells delectable, like coconuts and the beach. It’s dual-purpose so you can use it as a hair mask or a leave-in conditioner and still get super-soft, fragrant hair. A little goes a long way, so it can last you a long time.

10. Living Proof Instant De-Frizzer–$29

I’ve done a lot of research on hair products that people love across the board, and this was one of them. A best-seller on both Sephora and Ulta websites is a pretty big deal for a hair product. People seem to swear by this product, which aims at eliminating frizz from your hair and strengthening the bonds to prevent future and further breakage. The formula also isn’t greasy, so your hair won’t create so much buildup from the product.
