Hair Masks You Can Make At Home That Will Have Everyone Jealous Of Your Gorgeous Locks

Hair masks are the best-kept secret of the beauty community. Whether you’re looking to repair the damage done by drying shampoos and high heat styling tools, or if you want your friends to be jealous of your shining hair, you’ve come to the right place! Plus, all these masks use natural ingredients, so you know exactly what you’re putting on your hair!

1. Avocado and Olive Oil

Avocado is rich in amino acids and proteins that help stimulate hair growth. Olive oil provides Omega-3 fatty acids which strengthen the hair and make it shine. This hair mask is super hydrating for the hair and scalp, so it’s perfect for dry, damaged hair!

Ingredients:
-1 ripe avocado
-2 tbsp olive oil
-2 tbsp honey (for extra hydration)

Mash the avocado in a bowl. Mash in the olive oil and honey. Alternatively, toss all ingredients into a blender and blend.

Spray your (clean) hair with water so that it is damp. Section it out and apply. Cover with a shower cap and leave on for 45 minutes. Wash out. Repeat regularly to see the full effect!

2. Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon Juice

This mask is perfect for those struggling with oily hair! Lemon juice absorbs oil wonderfully. Apple cider vinegar will balance the pH of your hair and scalp while also cleansing without stripping away tons of oil. The honey in this mask will add moisture back into your hair.

Ingredients:
-1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
-freshly squeezed juice from one whole lemon
-1 tbsp honey

Mix ingredients together and apply in sections to clean damp hair. Cover with a shower cap and leave on for 45 minutes. Wash out. Enjoy your clean, oil-free hair!

3. Honey and Banana

If your hair is fragile and brittle, this is the mask for you! Bananas help protect hair from breakage and honey helps to moisturize! Perfect for those who use heated styling tools regularly.

Ingredients:
-1 ripe banana
-1 tbsp honey
-1 tbsp olive oil or almond oil

Mash the banana and then incorporate the honey and oil until smooth. Alternatively, toss the ingredients in a blender and blend until combined.

Apply to clean, damp hair in sections. Cover with a shower cap and leave on for 45 minutes. Wash out. If you use heat daily to style your hair, try using this mask frequently – your hair will thank you for it!

4. Almond Milk, Egg, and Coconut Oil

Almonds are not only a source of protein, but they also contain a lot of vitamin E! Vitamin E helps reduce inflammation and also helps stimulate hair growth. Coconut oil protects the hair shaft and also contains vitamin E! This mask is perfect for strengthening hair!

Ingredients:
-4 egg whites
-5 tbsp almond milk
-2 tbsp coconut oil

Blend ingredients together in a blender or with a whisk. Apply to clean, damp hair in sections. Cover with a shower cap and leave on for 45 minutes. Wash out. Repeat regularly for shiny, healthy hair!

5. Egg Mask

Eggs are the classic ingredient to use in hair masks – for good reason! They contain lots of proteins and amino acids that help strengthen hair. Additionally, they provide moisture to both hair and scalp and also contain vitamin D, a vitamin which might help prevent hair from falling out. This mask is perfect for anyone who just wants to get healthier hair!

Ingredients:
-2 egg yolks
-2 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
-water

Blend the ingredients together in a blender or with a whisk and massage into clean, damp hair, making sure to massage into the scalp as well. Repeat regularly to get healthy hair!
