Great Places To Travel For Some Tropical Fun

Summer is once again here, and what better time for a tropical fun getaway in the upcoming months? If you’re hoping to find some great travel destinations, then look no further because we have just the list for you!

1. Bali, Indonesia

Known for its beautiful islands, volcanic mountains, and gorgeous beaches and coral reefs, it would be hard to go wrong with choosing Bali as a vacation spot. Bali has several resort towns such as Seminyak, Sanur, and Nusa Dua, while its capital Denpasar offers extremely affordable lodging some as low as $20 US dollars a night.

Not only are the beaches and reefs highlighted attractions, but temples in Bali are also popular destinations, including the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, a temple complex that’s home to around 750 monkeys. Now that is a lot of monkeys.

2. Florida Keys, Florida Straight, United States

For those seeking a tropical getaway not too far from home, look no further than the Florida Keys. An archipelago off the southern coast of Florida, the Florida Keys are a famous destination spot with gorgeous reefs for snorkeling and scuba diving. Key West, in particular, has its famous Duval street with its many bars, and nightly sunset celebration in Mallory Square. If you’re looking for a summer of activities and fun, then the Florida Keys is the way to go.

3. Palau, Republic of Palau

Regarded as one of the most beautiful diving spots in the world, Palau’s waters hold some of the most diverse marine life and is home to the Giant Clam.

One of its most famous attractions for divers and non-divers alike is the twelve-thousand-year old Jellyfish Lake which has recently been declared reopened to visitors. The lake is famous for being the home of the non-stinging Golden Jellyfish and tourists are allowed to swim with these majestic sea creatures. The experience is sure to leave you with an everlasting memory along with the beauty of the small but vibrant island community.

4. Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Ocho Rios was once a fishing village but now a resort destination for tourists. It is a beach resort with hotels to fit any budget and a cruise ship harbor. With gleaming white sand and crystal waters, this tropical paradise is only enhanced by its surrounding rainforest and waterfall attractions.

Feel like interacting with local marine life? Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios hosts a variety of sea life such as dolphins, stingrays, and sharks in their natural environments while allowing their guests to swim and interact with them. While its Jungle Walk gives visitors a chance to see more native land animals including Iguanas, Snakes, and a large variety of birds. Ocho Rios offers unique land and sea experiences.

5. Port Douglas, Australia

Known as a base for visits to the Great Barrier Reef, which is a short 15-minute boat ride this is a must-visit location for any adventurous water lover.  Aside from snorkeling and diving, there are many local companies offering other tropical fun activities such as kite surfing, paddleboarding, and whitewater rafting tours.

If you feel like taking a simple stroll, Port Douglas’ infamous Four Mile Beach is a perfect place for a walk to enjoy the sights. Stretching as far as the eye can see, Four Mile Beach offers a picturesque view of the crystal waters and lush green rainforests surrounding the land. The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest is listed as a World Heritage Site.

6. Big Island, Hawaii

Really, what sort of tropical fun list would this be without Hawaii? Known for its lush beaches, diverse wildlife, and the Aloha hospitality, Hawaii is a classic vacation destination for a good reason. An archipelago of eight major islands, each offers its own unique experience or charm.

Big Island of Hawaii is the largest of the islands and encompasses 11 out of 13 of the world’s climatic zones, from breathtaking white sandy beaches to chilling snowy mountains, visitors will always find something to enjoy here. One of the most infamous attractions on the Big Island, however, maybe Hawaii’s Volcano National Park, which is home to two active volcanoes, including one fo the world’s most active; Kīlauea.
