Great Concerts Coming To Philly This Week

Philadelphia is home to a variety of music venues that host a diverse mix of concerts. This week is no different. From country to heavy metal and everything in between, there is something for everyone this week. Check out the top concerts coming to Philly this week.

1. Carpenter Brut

Electronic musician Carpenter Brut will bring his Leather Patrol tour to Philly’s Union Transfer on Friday, May 4, 2018. The event is open to all ages. Carpenter Brut will be performing songs from his new album and will be joined by Texas-based dance/electronic band GosT. This is one of the concerts coming to Philly that is open to all ages.

2. Clay Cook

Multi-instrumentalist Clay Cook of the Zac Brown Band will perform with Philly folk singer Ryan Tennis on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at MilkBoy Philadelphia. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. The show is a 21+ event. Clay has toured and written songs with a variety of country musicians before joining the Zac Brown Band in 2009.

3. Anvil

The Canadian heavy metal band Anvil will perform with special guests Shadowside, Metalfier, and Heavy Temple at Johnny Brenda’s on Sunday, May 6, 2018. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. The show is for ages 21+ and proper ID is required for entry.  Anvil was started in Toronto in 1978 and have recorded and toured since then.

4. Iron Maidens

The all-female Iron Maiden tribute band, Iron Maidens, will perform with Live Evil, a Dio tribute band, at the Foundry at the Fillmore Philadelphia on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. The show is open to all ages. The doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m. The event is general admission standing room only.

5. Jessie Ware

On Thursday, May 10, 2018, English singer/songwriter Jessie Ware is performing with Albin Lee Meldau at the TLA. The doors open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show. The show is open to all ages. London-born Jessie started performing after working in journalism after graduating college. She currently has three albums out.
