Get These Products For A Simple Back To School Makeup Routine

Now that school is around the corner, it is time to start talking about back to school makeup. We all know that we don’t have much time or energy in the morning to go all out with our products, that is why we have rounded up a few of our favorites for a simple back to school makeup routine!

1. Tinted Moisturizer

The perfect way to start your simple back to school makeup routine is with the perfect tinted moisturizer that will help even out your skin tone and give you a dewy finish all while making you feel fresh and with SPF for extra protection! Not only that but obviously a tinted moisturizer will also be good for your skin to keep it looking and feeling amazing; The ultimate tinted moisturizer is a combination of skincare and makeup that will conceal flaws, brighten your complexion, protect your skin from the sun, and increase moisture while giving you a beautiful glow. Your skin will thank you later for applying a tinted moisturizer with your makeup routine!

2. Concealer

In case you did not already know, a perfect concealer is absolutely essential for your everyday back to school makeup! Nobody enjoys having a pesky pimple that they are hoping no one notices on their nose, that is why having a concealer that fits your skin tone and type perfectly is crucial. Applying concealer to the imperfections that make you insecure (even though you are still beautiful regardless of a pesky little pimple), will help you feel more confident throughout the day. Plus, even on days where you are feeling extra lazy, it is simple to quickly throw on some concealer and keep it in your bag for touch ups!

3. Bronzer

If you are someone who is not very good at the whole makeup routine, do not be afraid of the word bronzer. Adding an easy to apply and subtle bronzer such as the Hoola bronzer by Benefit is a simple addition to your back to school makeup routine that will help you feel an extra boost of confidence and put together-ness. You don’t need to worry about dousing your entire face with bronzer, it is all about focusing on the specific areas you can bronze to add definition and shape to your face! Plus, everybody loves to look like they’ve just come home from a beach vacation.

4. Mascara

Of course, we could never forget mascara! Every back to school makeup routine requires a little bit of your favorite mascara to not only make you feel more put-together, but also to make you feel more awake and as if you have made a greater effort to prepare for a productive day. Mascara is a super awesome product to use when you want to feel more confident because it is simple to apply and does not require you to put on a full face of makeup if you don’t have the time or energy to do so!

5. Clear Mascara

Another one of your best friends when it comes to your back to school makeup routine is a handy dandy clear mascara! You may be thinking, what in the world is the point of a clear mascara? This will come in handy in multiple situations; first of all, when you are feeling like you want to look more put together but don’t have much time to carefully put on mascara then clear mascara will be there for you to quickly apply without worrying about smudging. Another useful way to use clear mascara is to use it as eyebrow gel to keep your eyebrows in place without needing to put in much effort!

6. Cream Blush

If you have never tried a cream blush before, this is your sign that you must immediately add it to your back to school makeup routine. The best part about a cream blush is that it gives you a more dewy finish and feels a lot more modern than a more traditional powder blush; a cream product will almost work as a blush and highlighter all in one and will give you a much more natural looking flush. Plus, a cream blush is also hydrating, nourishing and extremely blendable. This is essential for your simple routine because it can be easily applied with your fingertips, making cream blush the ideal on-the-go makeup product that can be found in plenty of different shades depending on your preference.

7. Neutral Eyeshadow Palette

On the days where you have a little more time in the morning or are in the mood to get a little more put together, while still keeping it simple, an eye shadow palette with neutral shades is the one for your back to school makeup routine! Browns, beiges, and creams are not only simple and easy to combine, but they also work wonders for bringing your eyes to life. The best part about neutral shades that make them crucial for a simple routine is that you do not need to worry about the colors matching your skin tone perfectly because there is a lot more freedom and room to experiment with eye makeup.

8. Highligher

This next one may not be an essential part of everybody’s back to school makeup routine, but if you are in the mood to feel a little more glowy on some days, then you may want to invest in a good highlighter. Applying a little bit of highlighter to some key parts of your face has several benefits you may want to consider, for example: Highlighter will freshen up your face, make you look more awake and ready to go, and adds emphasis to your facial features. To put it simply, highlighter will enhance your best features and is the magic ingredient to making you feel vibrant and fresh; there are different ways you can go about using highlighter that do not always involve an excessive amount of shimmer, if that isn’t your thing!

9. Light Foundation

If a tinted moisturizer doesn’t exactly do the trick, adding a light foundation to your back to school makeup routine will! Our personal favorite right now is the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation in a Powder because it is not only super duper easy to apply, but because it also leaves a matte finish that lets us feel effortlessly confident. The trick to a perfect foundation for a simple routine is to look for one that is easy to apply, has a light matte finish that does not require an excessive amount of attention and blending, and one that does not make your face feel too heavy with product.

10. Setting Spray

The final step to any back to school makeup routine is to finish off your look with an effective setting spray! Spraying on a few squirts of setting spray is a great way to keep your makeup looking fresh all day long, and it is also a super easy final step that many people skip. It’s essential for your routine if you want to keep your mid-day touch-ups to a minimum; the setting spray will keep your makeup from smearing, creasing, or fading too rapidly and it’s so easy to apply!

When you utilize the products we recommend for an easy back to school makeup routine, you’ll be ready to go for the new year!
