Foundations For Summer That Are Sweat Proof

Let’s talk about foundation now, shall we ladies?

If you’re in your early twenties and still learning about makeup, then I am right there with you. Truthfully, I don’t wear makeup. If I have a wedding to attend then I will throw on some mascara and some blush, but that’s about it. I love the natural look and always will. I think that’s because I was never taught the steps on how to apply makeup in the first place, therefore, I just never used it or had the eagerness to want to learn about it. Now here I am in my twenties and I’m curious to learn more about makeup because it’s just an entirely different world to me. But I’m excited and I hope you are too. Now that summer is here, I have a list of foundations for summer that are full on sweat proof. So shop away, girlfriend. Shop away!

What even is foundation anyways?

Foundation is used all over your face to create an even skin tone. It’s a base for when you apply the rest of your makeup. If you’re just starting out using makeup, begin with foundation. It’s primarily the groundwork for what is to come–blush, lipstick, eyeshadow… I think you get the point. If you choose the correct foundation for your face, it not only creates an even skin tone, but it can help cover your blemishes that you don’t want to be seen and the imperfections that make you… well, you. With foundation, there are also many types that are based on what color you want, the formula and how much coverage you want. Don’t choose the first one you see because there might possibly be another foundation that is even better than what you were originally looking for.

What types of foundations are there?

If you’re anything like me and do not have a lot of knowledge with makeup–and for right now, foundation to be exact– then you probably didn’t know that there are five different formulas for makeup. Yes, you read that correctly: five.

Liquid Foundation

Liquid foundation is just what it sounds like. It’s a water-in-silicone mixture that is one of the most popular forms of foundation.

Powder Foundation

Powder foundation is just a dry formula that is highly pigmented, finely milled and soft to the touch. If you want full coverage, then it’s going to take a few layers to get the look you want, but powder foundation still works very well.
