A Foodie Takes On New York City: The Queen’s Kickshaw

Being in college ain’t easy – let me be the first to say this. We live for our relaxing weekends after a rough, busy week. If there’s something I’ve learned it’s that college students love brunch. I mean who doesn’t love the ability to sleep in and still grab a great breakfast? Well, there’s no better place than the Queen’s Kickshaw.

The Queens Kickshaw is a neighborhood favorite located at 40-17 Broadway in Astoria, Queens serving coffee, beer, fine cider and comfort food. It’s owned by a couple that wanted to create a place that showed the love they have for their neighborhood.

You can grab their exclusive brunch when it is served on weekends and holidays from 9AM to 4:45PM.

Their menu, small yet satisfying, is sure to make your mouth water whether you’re in the mood for a grilled cheese, mac ‘n cheese, or avocado toast. And don’t miss out on their coffee menu as well!
