15 Fashionable Outfits To Wear Through Social Distancing

Finding it hard to wear fashionable outfits while stuck in the house? I think a lot of us are. There can be joy in getting ready for the day, even while we are social distancing. Whether you are on a Zoom call, working from home, FaceTiming your friends, just want to chill on the couch, or what ever your day may consist of inside – you can still wear fashionable outfits. Here’s some cute outfits you can wear in the comfort of your home!

1. Matching Leggings and Top

Leggings are total comfort when it comes to pants. We know leggings are good to wear for yoga, but they can be fashionable even when you’re not working out. A trend I have loved lately is a two piece set of matching leggings and a top. When both articles of clothing coordinate with each other, it makes for an effortless yet put together look. Pairing leggings with a top is perfect for any activity while you are hanging out in your house, and looks fashionable even when you may have to go to the store.

2. Linen Pants

Spring is finally here, and even though we are social distancing, we can still wear Spring clothes indoors. Linen pants are one option that you can’t go wrong with. They’re breezy, comfortable, lightweight and can be dressed up or down. For social distancing, try a pair of linen pants, a solid color t-shirt or tank top, and some casual necklaces or earrings to make for a cute and relaxed look while chillin’ inside your house.

3. Graphic Tee And Jeans

I have always found that a t-shirt and jeans is one of the most comfortable yet, fashionable outfits. Accessories and shoes can play a big part in how dressed up or down you want your look to be. Since we are all staying inside, it can be difficult to find the motivation to put on jeans since we really have no reason to. But, if you are ready to make the switch out of sweatpants and into jeans again, a graphic tee of any kind (ex. band tee, floral print, etc.) can always pair great with your favorite jeans.

4. Night Out Dress

Okay, so we are all staying inside, but that does not mean we can’t feel glamorous. If you want to do your makeup and wear a dress just because, go for it! Whether you are doing a girls night out Zoom call, or just want to feel like you’re going out, wear your favorite night out dress as if you were going out with your friends.

5. T-Shirt Dress

Not every t-shirt dress is an actual oversized t-shirt, some dresses are simply categorized as that. If you want to wear a baggy long t-shirt and wear a belt in the middle of it, go for it. That is just one simply way to make a casual article of clothing fashionable for a night out or even a day inside. Other dresses that are already called t-shirt dresses make for an easy, comfortable throw on for anytime or place.

6. Drawstring Pants

Wearing a tight pair of pants, or even jeans all day can be uncomfortable, luckily there are drawstring pants. What’s so great about drawstring pants? They’re comfortable and they’re adjustable, making them fit as loose or as tight as you want them to. And, they can totally be fashionable with how you wear them. Pair drawstring pants with a cropped sweater and sneakers, or a tank top and sandals. They can be worn with pretty much anything for a relaxed, casual look during the day.

7. Fruit Printed Dresses

Winter is officially over, and even though we have to stay inside doesn’t mean we can’t bring a little fun and sunshine to our outfits. Fruit printed dresses are everywhere nowadays. They’re bold, vibrant and make a statement. Since wearing a dress covered in lemons or watermelons can speak it for itself, you really can pair any simple sneaker or wedge sandal with a fruit dress.

8. Top And Blazer

If you’re doing a Zoom call, job interview on Skype, or just want to feel professional working at home – grab that blazer in your closet. You can’t go wrong showing up virtually for a work meeting in professional work attire, it might also make you feel like you’re there instead of at home. Like any outfit, you can make wearing a blazer as casual or as dressy as you want.

9. Nature Themed Clothing

Are you also missing going to your favorite parks? You can still feel like you’re not entirely stuck inside by wearing shirts that are inspired by the outdoors. Even if your local beach is closed, you can feel like some sense of nature by wearing a nautical themed top. If you’re feeling nostalgic for regular hikes or exploring with your friends, try a shirt with mountains or flowers on it. If will be aesthetically pleasing while reminding you of nature.

10. Jumpsuits

Out of all the clothing I could wear through social distancing, I would say jumpsuits are the best option (after sweatpants of course). You don’t have to worry about matching your top with your pants when wearing a jumpsuit. They’re comfortable, and can be worn for a night out or during the daytime.

Wearing cardigans has seemed way cooler over the last few years. Now, buttoning a cardigan all the way up and wearing it as a top has become popular. It makes for a put together, yet simple and cozy look throughout the day. Buttoned cardigans are versatile on their own, and can be worn open with a shirt underneath or buttoned on their own. You can also pair them with jeans, skirts, or even over a dress.

13. Slouchy Sweaters

Warmer months are here, and even though we are social distancing, we can still have fashionable outfits that fit the weather (inside too.) Some sweaters can be heavy and bulky, but other sweaters can be lightweight and be worn all year. Off the shoulder and slouchy sweaters are easy for chilly days, but also good for throwing over a tank top for a summer night. They also are comfortable for while you’re watching Netflix inside.

Now, there is way more than just cropped t-shirts. Cropped sweatshirts are the new, more fashionable way of wearing sweatshirts with jeans when going out. But, they also make for a fashionable outfit for social distancing inside. Like jumpsuits, overalls are an easy wear since all you have to do is a find a shirt to wear underneath them. There are so many different fabrics, patterns, prints and styles that overalls come in nowadays, so you don’t have to wear regular blue denim overalls if you don’t want to. They make for a comfortable work from home outfit, or a cute outfit to lounge in on your couch.
