Rodan + Fields is a San Francisco-based skincare company created by dermatologists Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields. The brand was launched in 2000, so probably while you were in preschool.
If you are wondering why Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields sound so familiar, it may be because you already have their most famous product already sitting in your medicine cabinet at home. In fact, you may be a part of your daily routine! Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields invented Proactiv, the acne treatment that has been working wonders for over 20 years.
Rodan + Fields customers are extremely loyal, (check out what this blogger said here if you don’t believe us!) and it is because they swear by these products. From retinol creams to skin lightening toners, there is definitely a wide range of products available. They can be a little pricey, however – one package retails for $439 – so make sure your consultant helps you carefully pick out the best products for you.
Rodan + Fields is a multi-level marketing company, which means that it operates through independent “consultants”. These consultants sell these products directly to their friends, family, and others in their community. These consultants are not only compensated for the sales they make, but also for the sales of other consultants Rodan + Fields on their team.
While this company may get a bad rap as a pyramid scheme, multi-level marketing is totally legal. Consultants can only make money through product sales, not through recruiting other team members, making Rodan + Fields a legitimate way to earn some extra cash.
