Essential Healthy Breakfast Choices

Making your breakfast choices from some important, great essentials can be the best way to start your day off right. When you first wake up in the morning, getting ready to head off to work or start your day, you want to begin full and focused. Here are some of the key healthy breakfast choices to make you more productive and successful in your day.

Eggs

The amount of protein in eggs makes them one of the wonderful and largely popular healthy breakfast choices. Further, they are easy to make and are even microwavable. You can microwave these for reasonably similar taste and texture in a shorter time than stovetop making them also a very efficient choice for an easy breakfast.

Eggs on their own can provide you great protein, as well as vitamins B2, B6, B12, D, and minerals including iron, zinc, and copper. They are an inexpensive items you can buy in bulk. For their inexpensiveness, quick simplicity, and fantastic blend of vitamins and minerals, eggs are a top choice to start your day.

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is another super cheap, very portable protein that can keep you going as a snack or protein replacement when you need it. It can be easily added to some whole grain toast or crackers at breakfast time as well as put into pancake and waffle recipes for some delicious combinations. Just a couple scoops packs some great healthy fat, it is low in carbohydrates and high in protein.

It can also be taken very easily wherever you go and whenever you’re in a rush. Some quick spoonfuls can just be popped in your mouth as you’re getting ready or headed out the door, making it the hands-free snack you can always count on when your hands are already doing a million other things. Peanut butter is also a delicious, flavorful choice. There are also many different options for high nut protein and optimal health benefits you can consider such as almonds, macadamia nuts, cashews, Brazil nuts, and walnuts which can pair well or be added to a dish.

Oats

There are many different variations of oat products that are great essential breakfast choices at home or in a hurry. Oat bars, especially with fruits, nuts, or peanut butter are nice grab-and-go snacks that can pack even more vitamins and nutrients than the vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants already found in oats alone. Oatmeal is another really simple choice that is quick to make, quick to eat, and reasonably portable. This too can have other fruits and grains added to it to boost the benefits.

Oats are a high-fiber solution that are also gluten-free and often wholegrain and are considered one of the healthiest grains you can have. There is no harm to eating oats, just benefits. Oats have been shown to decrease the risks of heart disease, help with weight loss, and even lower your blood sugar levels, making them one of the essential healthy breakfast choices that’s also tasty.

Granola

Granola can be found in many different combinations of flavor and healthy ingredients including oats, grains, and seeds such as flax seeds. They come in the most portable packaging of almost any essential healthy breakfast choices you could try, making them an ultimate top choice for healthy eating on the go.

Meat

Meat is an excellent choice for complete protein that can often really compliment other healthy breakfast choices and be really delicious in their own moderation. Great animal-based food proteins you can choose between and find in variations for breakfast include beef, chicken, pork, and poultry as well as fish.

As opposed to other more plant-based essential healthy breakfast choices like grains, nut, and seed products, meat products don’t as often lack one or more of the essential amino acids your body needs and craves. White flesh fish is one of the healthiest options, as well as other skinless white-meat poultry, and lean beef. Tofu can also be a really healthy substitute for non-meat eaters.

Yogurt is an essential healthy breakfast choice by its great portability as granola, already often found in small, sealed packaging. Plain Greek yogurt is one of the most beneficial health-wise for recommendation, but some other yogurts containing grains, granola, or fruit can also have the added benefits of their own vitamins. In fruit, you have added fiber and health-boosting antioxidants such as flavonoids. Fruit also reduces the risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and inflammation.

There are also other great dairy options you can try for taste and preference with much of the similar health benefits of yogurt. These include among them cottage cheese and cheese sticks or other forms such as wedges or slices of different types of cheese.

Citrus Fruit

As far as the health benefits of fruit, there are some favorite choices that can really boost your vitamin C and antioxidant levels such as grapefruit and oranges which are rich in vitamins, fiber, and are specifically low in calories. Citrus fruits can help reduce your risk of kidney stones, help protect and fight against cancer, and are a great overall boost to heart health. Grapefruit is one of the healthiest citrus fruits for its high levels of nutrients, antioxidants, and fiber.

Oranges can help boost your immune system, helping fight and prevent disease and illness, help the body absorb iron better, and protect your cells from damage. They are high in vitamins A and B, calcium, potassium, and fiber. Grapefruit and oranges are great for the immune system in the prevention and defense of illness and disease and in their own natural, highly portable package making them another essential healthy breakfast choice that is great for citrus lovers.
