Drunk Elephant vs, Tatcha: Who’s the Better Buy

Drunk Elephant Versus Tatcha Who is the Better Buy? Let’s find out, when thinking about what skincare brand has the most effective results, there is only one way to find out and that is purchasing the products for yourself and testing them out for a period of time. (Which I did) This is just my personal opinion about the products, everybody has different results that work for them, keep in mind I don’t have the most oily skin, my skin is definitely more dry.

Drunk Elephant: The Nitty Gritty

Drunk Elephant for many years has been a brand that I have loved, although it is not the most affordable it serves its purpose and produces lovely products for the most part. This is considered to be Luxury Beauty and was something that I purchased through Sephora. My first Purchase of Drunk Elephant products were the: Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream, Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream, Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel, Drunk Elephant Sili Body Lotion, Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil and the Drunk Elephant Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Spray. All of these were purchased at once and I was so excited to try them out and review them after using the Drunk Elephant Sili Body Lotion, I loved it! the consistency and way that it feels on my skin is incredible ten out of ten. But when it came to the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil, I was breaking out all over my face and decided that after a few uses that this was something that I was not able to use since it caused my face to break out and made my face drip with oil. Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel is something that I would also give a ten out of ten too since it has B5 infused in it, so it is extremely hydrating and helps brighten and improve the texture and tone of your skin. If you are not wanting to spend the fifty dollars on the Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel I would suggest the Byoma Hydrating Serum which is very similar to the Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel and is half the price found at Target.

Tatcha: The Nitty Gritty

Tatcha is known to be a very luxurious Skincare brand that for the most part is only carried with Sephora which is where I decided to purchase the Skincare from. When purchasing this I decided to do it about a month after I purchased the Drunk Elephant products so that I was able to allow my skin to reset. My first Purchase of Tatcha Beauty was the Tatcha the Indigo Body Butter, Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, Tatcha the Rice Polishing Foaming Enzyme Powder, Tatcha the Dewy Skin Cream Plumping and Hydrating Moisturizing, and last I bought the Tatcha the Kissu Lip Mask. Leaving the store, I used the Tatcha the Kissu Lip Mask this was AMAZING literally makes my lips feel like butter. I seriously cannot stress how much I love this product; the more affordable version of this product would be the Laniege Lip Mask found in many different flavors. The Tatcha the Rice Polishing Foaming Enzyme Powder was very similar to the face wash that I currently use so I was not super impressed with the way that it worked for me. The Tatcha the Dewy Skin Cream Plumping and Hydrating Moisturizing Cream was out of this world, the way that it makes my skin feel is not able to be described besides AMAZING. This is a product that I am still currently using and will most likely continue to repurchase this item, it is not the easiest to find, only being found at Sephora or online (but who likes to wait for shipping not me!)

Drunk Elephant and Tatcha Who is the Better Buy?

The question of learning about, Drunk Elephant and Tatcha Who is the Better Buy? Is answered by each Drunk Elephant and Tatcha have their own strengths and weaknesses. But there can only be one winner and in my own opinion I have to say that Drunk Elephant makes the most sense financially since you are getting more of the product for your dollar. Tatcha on the other hand is going to provide a similar experience as Drunk Elephant but it is really expensive for what it is. I think that they have a really good marketing tactic but at the end of the day the product is really not worth spending eighty dollars on a moisturizer or face wash for that matter. Drunk Elephant has the best results from the few products that I have used from them, The Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel, is superior to the other products because it is extremely hydrating and it has B5 infused in it, so it helps brighten and improve the texture and tone of your skin. Tatcha’s advertising and packaging of the products is unbeatable because they are creating products that really portray the aspect of luxury skincare, whereas a brand like La Mer is known for luxury skincare but fails to provide packaging that would support that. All in all, Drunk Elephant is far more superior than Tatcha since they were able to establish a cult following of all of the products. which in time creates an audience that is always wanting something new from them, they are very good at sponsoring influencers and getting the influencers to post the merchandise on their platforms like Instagram, or Tik Tok where they’re able to get more people to purchase their products based off of another famous person’s opinion. This is an extremely effective way to get your product sold, and something that Drunk Elephant definitely takes advantage of having influencers purchase their products or having them sent to the influencers.

All of these products are something that I chose to purchase on my own, to see how they would work with my skin care routine. Although I would not purchase all of them again there are some that did the job and made it as a permanent item in my skincare routine.
