When it comes to hydration what most people don’t realize is that most drinks do the trick. Almost any drink will help with hydration, however, some are more effective than others. Here are 10 drinks that will keep you hydrated:
1. Vitamin Water
In terms of sports drinks, Vitamin Water is about the healthiest you can come across. It comes in various delicious flavors and is great for refueling after an intense workout. When it comes to hydration Vitamin Water will get the job done quickly and effectively.
Nothing quite speaks of hydration more than the image of Gatorade quenching thirst on a hot day. Gatorade does wonders in replenishing energy and hydrating, but should be avoided outside of replenishment purposes due to its high levels of sugar and dyes. Feel free to drink Gatorade if you consistently exercise, but if you’re just sitting around, try to refrain.

It’s dull and bland, but just a couple glasses here and there should keep you well hydrated throughout the day. Have a glass to start the day and just have a water bottle to sip on throughout the day; You’ll notice that even with a little bit your hydration levels will increase.
When it comes to coffee there seems to be a myth that it isn’t a great drink for hydration, however, in contrast, is about as effective as water. Coffee shouldn’t be drunk more than a few times a day due to its caffeine levels, but in moderation can be extremely useful in staying hydrated.
In terms of hydration milk can actually be more beneficial than water itself. Milk is made mostly with water so its level of water is similar and in addition due to milk’s higher levels of protein, vitamins, and nutrients, keeps you hydrated for a longer period of time than water can.

Though not great for your health, soda is a perfectly viable option for hydration. Putting aside its absurdly high sugar levels, soda is great for hydration, although I wouldn’t recommend it as a regular means to hydrating every day.

The refreshment of an ice-cold lemonade by the pool is something that is unmatched by any other drink. Lemonade is great for hydration so long as it’s in small doses; It’s delicious, but like soda, too much isn’t great for your health, especially if it’s high in sugar.
