DIY Halloween Costumes For Couples

Want to know the best part of Halloween? Matching costumes for you and your significant other! There are so many different options to choose from, and it can be tough to go through all of the iconic duos in media. Maybe you want to go as a duo from a horror movie, or maybe from an animated movie. Whatever the type, we’ll try to include a mix of various characters in this article so you can pick your favorite choice. We’ll try to include some duos from horror movies, animated movies, and more. 1. Chucky and Tiffany 

Tiffany Valentine was the early girlfriend of the character Charles Lee Ray, or Chucky. In Bride of Chucky, after Tiffany has her soul transferred into a doll, go on a murdering spree as they look for an amulet to transfer their souls into bodies again. 

This duo would make for great costumes for a spooky, Halloween party.

2. Ghostface 

This is a fictional character in the Scream series. This character was named after a rubber Halloween mask, which was actually inspired by the painting called The Scream. Very fitting. Ghostface is portrayed by a different movie throughout the series, but they often call their victims on the phone. This character has grown popular on social media websites like, TikTok, and has become popular among stickers you can find online. 

This isn’t so much a duo from a movie, but the costume looks so good, it can work as a duo and couple costume idea.

3. Jack and Sally 

This classic animated movie couple would be so much fun to dress up as this Halloween. In The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sally, who is in a rag doll created by Doctor Finklestein, is in love with Jack Skellington. At the movie’s end, Sally confesses her love to Jack, and he says he loves her, too. 

This is such a fun costume idea with the creativity and effort you can put into painting yourself to look like Sally and Jack. The Nightmare Before Christmas is such an iconic movie that has a place in so many hearts. It is great to show off that love during Halloween!

4. Daphne and Fred

This iconic on-screen couple can be fun to dress up as and pretty simple to accomplish. You and your partner can be this iconic, mystery-solving duo this Halloween. You don’t have to match the costumes completely; you can play with the color combo. Daphne has her iconic purple and green outfits in the different Scooby Doo movies and shows, and Fred has his blue and white shirt with that orange scarf tied around his neck.

5. Velma and Daphne

If you want to try a different but iconic duo, you can dress up as Velma and Daphne from the Scooby Doo movies and shows. Like Daphne, Velma has her iconic, assigned colors that we associate her with. We often see her fitted with that orange and red color combo, usually a red skirt and orange turtle neck. Playing around with these colors, you can have any outfit combo that you want to play as her. This is still a great couple’s costume.

6. Wanda and Cosmo

Wanda and Cosmo, one of the most iconic married couples we grew up watching, is a great idea for a duo to dress up as. These two are written to have been married for about 10,000 years, and are the godparents of Timmy Turner. They also share a baby named Poof, who came after Timmy and wished for them to have a kid. This is another example of iconic color combos that help us recognize these characters. Wanda has pink hair and a yellow shirt; Cosmo has green hair and his class shirt and tie.

7. Coraline and Wybie 

These two characters are from the stop-motion film, Coraline, based on a novella under the same name. Coraline, our blue-haired protagonist, movies to her new home, the Pink Palace apartments. Wybie’s grandmother owns these apartments, and they become friends throughout the movie. This is another duo that would be so much to dress up as for Halloween, playing around with their cool outfits in the movie and the horror parts, like the button eyes. 

8. Angel and Devil 

This is an easy costume, but it is always fun to play with. You can go about this either way and dress up however you want. For the angel, most go for an all-white look with a halo above their head. You can also add white wings to the look to really complete the look. The devil can either be in red or black or both. For the devil part, you can also have black wings and horns, either one or both. It’s completely up to you. This can be a great look to complete with your partner this Halloween.

9. Spiderman and Spider Gwen

This one is fun for those Marvel fan and has some pretty cool costumes that you can get to dress up as. We all know Spiderman Peter Park, who was bit by a radioactive spider and now swings around the city fighting crime. Still, Spider-Gwen is building popularity among marvel fans and cosplayers. Spider-Gwen, or Spider-Woman and Ghost-Spider, is Gwen Stacy from different earth than the Peter Parker we know. In this Spiderman twist, Gwen Stacy received the radioactive bite that gave superhero powers. This duo is so much fun, and you can show off your spidey sense at those Halloween parties.

We all love Halloween costumes, which makes it more fun when we have someone to dress up with and go to parties. You can get so creative with who you dress up as.
