1. A DIY hair mask for dry hair:

One of the most common types of hair problems is dry hair, especially when Winter arrives. To combat this there are a few easy DIY hair treatments that can get you moisturised, healthy hair without much effort. One of which is the much-loved super-food avocado, you may often see this product spread across toast on Pinterest on Instagram. But, it isn’t just good for your body, your hair also loves it. You can mash an avocado and some essential oil such as peppermint. After washing hair normally, squeeze out any remaining water and then apply the mask for 15-30 minutes you could do a face mask or something else during this time. This will make your hair shiny and bouncy, if you are looking for a runnier consistency why not try adding some water or yoghurt to the homemade mixture. You cannot get something much more natural than this, not to mention it doesn’t cost the earth.

2. Coconut oil for the win:

Coconut oil is another well-loved multi-functional DIY hair treatments, you may see it being used in cooking or even to remove makeup. However, damaged hair also can be saved from this wonderful product. Many people find dryness tends to be at the end of their hair rather than at the root. Coconut oil helps penetrate deep into the hair shaft, so you do not need much of it to make a difference. Take a teaspoon or two depending on the thickness or length of your hair and apply to the ends. You can leave this overnight if you need a really deep treatment or rinse out after 30-40 minutes. You can melt down the coconut oil to create a liquid and then work it into the ends of your hair.
