10 DIY Body Scrubs That Are So Easy To Make You Won’t Believe It

Instead of roaming around looking for a luxurious body scrub, you can easily make a similar one (or an even better one) in the comfort of your home using a few, simple kitchen ingredients. All you have to do is mix all the ingredients in a jar and apply a small amount on your skin. You don’t have to shell out a lot of money for soft, glowing skin.

1. Almond Milk Face and Body Scrub

It is best to use this three-ingredient scrub about once to twice a week. With the ground almond meal and milk, it is gentle enough to be used on your face.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of finely ground almond meal
  • 1/2 cup bentonite clay for skin
  • 2 tbsp. whole milk powder

2. Green Tea and Ginger Coffee Body Scrub

This body scrub sounds like a bizarre Starbucks order but it is also perfect for those who have sensitive skin. The green tea helps calm the skin while the coconut oil helps give you an instant boost of hydration.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of loose green tea
  • ½ cup of fresh (un-brewed) coffee grounds
  • 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
  • Hydrating Body Cream or Foot Cream

This is the most easiest body scrub to make it and it gently swipes away any dead skin.

  • Sea salt
  • Raw sugar
  • Brown sugar

4. Baking Soda Body Scrub

Baking Soda is one of the most versatile products there is, and like how you can use around the house, you can also incorporate it into your beauty routine. This scrub can also be helpful for those who have acne-prone skin due to the anti-inflammatory properties of the baking soda. You can also add in a few drops of essential oil to give your scrub a nice aroma.

Ingredients:

  • 5 to 7 tablespoons of baking soda
  • A small  amount of water until a paste is formed

  • 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

This scrub is beyond simple to make, and yet it is as effective as the expensive, fancy stuff you see lying on the shelfs of Sephora.

  • 1 cup of oatmeal ground up in a food processor
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet almond oil
  • 2 tablespoons of whole milk
  • One egg (egg whites only)

8. Peppermint Sugar Scrub

Celebrate the winter with this minty body scrub. To be extra festive, you can add in a few drops of red or green food coloring.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil
  • A few drops of peppermint essential oil

9.  Cinnamon Coffee Body Scrub

This DIY body scrub does it all. It helps soften your skin, fight acne, and reduce the appearance of dark spots or acne scars.

  • coffee grounds
  • granulated sugar
  • coconut oil
  • honey

10. Rosemary Lavender and Salt Body Scrub

This gentle, calming body scrub with make you smell like you have just emerged from a heavenly garden.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of lavender
  • 3 tablespoons of rosemary leaves
  • 1/2 cup of salt
  • ¼ cup of olive oil
