5 Day Spa Services That You Don’t Want To Miss Out On

One of my favorite things that I love to do every once in a great while, is treat myself to a much-needed spa day. It’s been over two years now since my last true spa day, but hey, life a lot of the time just gets in the way, and I’m alright with that. My last spa experience was arguably my best. It was a gift from my mother for my 25th birthday, and we both got to share a mother daughter day together; I so cherish those days with my mom. This was probably the nicest day spa I’d been to so far, and I was very impressed with the services they had to offer there at Copperfalls. I remember at that time that this spa day was greatly needed on my end, and I was counting down the days that week until Saturday finally rolled around. I definitely needed to relax, and sometimes the only way where I can let go of all my troubles sufficiently is by spending a day at the spa. Taking a day at the spa can truly help you to relax, and leave all of your daily worries at the door. Here are five day spa services that, in my opinion, are just far too good to pass up.

1. Massage

How I just love massages! This day spa service is sometimes the only way where I find not just my body, but my mind as well being able to relax completely. I remember my first real massage wasn’t the best experience, probably because it wasn’t technically a spa, but a standalone massage parlor. Needless to say, I was quite apprehensive to try another massage when my mom and I went to Copperfalls two years ago. Although, I’m very glad that I went through with it, as it was a far better experience. I also felt like they took much more care with what I was telling them to focus on. Plus, they used essential oils during the massage, and I’m a true believer in the way that they work for the body and mind. I can honestly say that this day spa service is one that you really don’t want to miss out on, even if you’re a tad on the jittery side about getting a massage. It’s the perfect way to get the stress out of your muscles, where many of us carry this stress without even realizing it, and to help calm your mind. I find massages to work particularly well when dealing with feelings of anxiety too. So, the next time you find yourself in need of some good self-care, make an appointment asap at your favorite spa for a nice relaxing massage.

2. Cut and Style

I know this may seem like one of the more boring treatments that you can receive at the spa, but it is one that I find to be truly relaxing. Getting my hair cut and styled feels almost like a therapy to me, and I love when people, either professional or those that I trust, play with my hair. I remember my aunt, who works at a salon, would always play with my hair when I was younger, and dote on me about how much she loved my hair. She had all boys, so naturally, she would always gravitate toward me as I was her only blonde niece; she simply adored my hair color. I love this type of day spa service because I can feel myself just melt into the chair, and let the stylist do their thing with my hair. I always love the end result too, where I come out looking like a brand-new person, and feel just so invigorated! One of my favorite parts about this particular day spa service is when they do a relaxing scalp massage; I almost like getting those more than the back massages. The next time you’re looking for a spa day, listen to me when I say, not to pass up on the cut and style!

3. Manicure

Getting manicures done at the spa is another one of my favorite services to receive there. I can honestly say that there’s nothing better than having your nails get that special attention they so deserve, especially if you’re in a profession where you use your hands a lot. Normally when I just want my nails done, I head on over to my favorite nail salon. But when I find myself wanting to spend a day at the spa, I always love getting manicures there. The atmosphere just feels different in a spa, not to mention far more intimate. I also feel like I’m never rushed whenever I’m in a day spa. Usually, when getting this day spa service, the manicurist always pays very close attention to what they’re doing, and takes extra special care of not just your nails, but the rest of your hands as well. I always love getting manicures that also offer a paraffin dip, as those are so very hydrating, and leaves your skin feeling baby soft. Yes, this day spa service should never be overlooked when you’re at the spa, and you’ll always be so happy with the result at the end.

4. Body Treatment

Usually, body treatments and massages can go hand-in-hand with one another at spas, and that certainly isn’t a bad thing! There’s nothing that I love more than gently exfoliating my skin to reveal a beautiful, not to mention, healthy glow. Spas always take special care too when dealing with all kinds of different skin types, which naturally includes sensitive and acne-prone skin as well. I fall under the sensitive skin type, and spas have all the right products to exfoliate my skin sufficiently, but also not cause it to get angry so-to-speak. Plus, these products are also very hydrating, which is great for dry skin; which I also happen to have. With this day spa service, I absolutely love just being able to feel all of the tension leave my body, and how my skin just sings in complete delight over finally being professionally tended to. I also enjoy all of the different aromas you can choose from to help your mind and body settle that much more. The next time I get a body treatment, I might try one of those seaweed wraps, as I’ve heard they’re quite relaxing and are superb at detoxing your skin. This is one day spa service that you always want to say yes to!

5. Pedicure

It’s honestly quite difficult for me to choose which day spa service I like better, manicures or pedicures? Can I say that I like both equally for different reasons, and call it good? I remember the first professional pedicure I got, and how much I loved seeing all of that dried dead skin be scrubbed off of my feet. Hey, we all have it to some degree, plus, I grew up as a dancer; my feet were in fairly rough shape from that alone. Now, whenever I find myself planning out a day at the spa, I always make sure that I get a pedicure to give my poor feet the proper attention they need. Sometimes the at-home treatments just don’t cut it in my opinion. One of my favorite parts about this day spa service is when I get to soak my feet in warm water that is enriched with the most hydrating products and aromas. The massage chair that I’m sat in doesn’t hurt either. I do love how much care the pedicurists take when exfoliating all of the dead skin cells away on not just your feet, but your lower legs as well. I live for this day spa service, and am always pleased with the end result. Pedicures will certainly help in rejuvenating your skin, and adding a splash of gorgeous color to your toenails.
