Cool And Casual Shoes To Get For Your Next Day Off

On your next day off or trip outside, there are a lot of trending shoe options you should consider choosing from. No matter what style you tend toward or fashion aesthetic you’re going for that day, there is a shoe look here for you. Try one of these shoe types that matches your style and taste and walk cool and casual!

Basketball Shoes

For sporty, athletic looks that are super casual, have fun stepping up your look and look great doing it. These shoes come in various styles themselves as well as colors and patterns to choose from. Whether you’re wearing basketball or other athletic shorts, cool joggers, or sweatpants, choose the basketball shoes you love that bring a pop of color to a bright outfit or stand out against a neutral one. You can also decide if you would like a pattern and/or texture that fits your aesthetic. Just make sure they’re still functional and fitting well for you.

The choices on basketball shoes that are most popular include among them Jordan, Nike, Adidas, and some other retro classics such as Puma or Reebok. Air Jordans always look great, especially in black, red, and white colors. Make sure to show the full shoe off regardless of whatever clothes you wear them with, as well as with other higher-top basketball shoes. Minimalist Adidas with color stripes, or velcro strap Pumas can compliment other retro looks. Lean into pops of color for more neutral outfits or colors to compliment your outfit’s main colors.

Memory Foam Sneakers

Memory foam sneakers have total absorbing comfort wherever you go or your day entails. Sneakers like this can include among them Adidas Cloudfoam. Many of the favorite brands you lean to for styles and/or colors have versions of memory foam shoes you should definitely check out. Guaranteed you will want a pair for work or casual days! Like other suggestions, there is more than enough room to make this suggestion your own with colors and individual shoe styles.

White minimalist versions always look great as long as you’re careful and caring to keep them looking white and stand-out looking. Pops of color also work great for this suggestion. If you have other sneakers you are really leaning toward or shoes you already own that feel a little or a lot uncomfortable on average, you can also consider sneaking in some memory foam or extra padding for support. The idea of cool and casual shoes are shoes that look stylish, keep you feeling confident, but most importantly feel comfortable enough for you to really achieve!

Classic Sneakers

For a classic look, especially at the park, skating area, or side streets, consider a pair of Chuck Taylors or Vans.  These timeless shoes have been rocked for generations and are still obscenely popular today, ranging from being the epitome of a casual sneaker to even being surprisingly well-paired with many formal attires. They shine as the kind of shoe that is suitable for almost any occasion, fit with almost any outfit, and will continue their legacy just as they have for generations, or even for over a century.

Another thing to enjoy about shoes like Chucks or Vans is the variety in which they come in. Think of a color, and it is likely there has been a shoe made in that color in those brands. In addition, they also come in many shapes in forms, such as variations between hi-top and low-top, specialized models such as basketball or skating variants, etc. These shoes, being fit for almost any occasion and come in just about any color you can think of, are a great reason why they should be your choice for any kind of day.

Summer Wear

For your next day off, a staple of your spring and summer look should definitely be a pair of slides or loafers. There are many options for these cool and casual shoes for your different style taste. Go for more leather or brown sandals that go great with a lot of spring and summer outfits, or a pair of colored ones that pop or compliment. There are more breathable versions that are more plastic or foam based as well as ones that keep you a little more insulated and warm for weather that can’t decide what it wants to be.

Try a pattern or design for this idea and have one or more playful pairs of shoes that you work other outfits around. Sometimes it can also be a stylist look to work your outfit around some of those shoes you just love but that aren’t as workable around other things themselves. With outfits in general, a great suggestion is to have one piece you love and build around that. Sometimes it’s your shoes! Have more fun and diversity in your shoes, especially toward different moods and levels of activity.

Winter Wear

For your next wintery day off, try sporting some nice boots which will not only have a practical sense in temperature retainment and traction capabilities, but can also serve as a bold fashion statement. The thick and tall aspects of some boots help emanate confidence, and are suited well with just about any winter outfit you can think of. Try them with loose pants, a tighter jean or khaki, long or short shirt, or dress, to a name a few.

Running Shoes

Another type of shoe that has practicality in just about any physical activity is running shoes. They are built for movement, and are designed to keep you comfortable while you’re active. Whether you’re out hiking, jogging, playing a recreational sport, walking, or anything else in between, running shoes would be a great choice to have on hand. They pair mostly with casual outfits, such as with athletic shorts, leggings, or sweatpants but are still very versatile.

Consider these cool, casual shoes to wear your next day off and have as cute and useful pieces in your closet. Let us know in the comments which cool, casual shoes you love to have on hand!
