Summer is such a great fashion season. We all wear so much less clothes but we have so many more options for style. Ladies, what is the one thing that completes every single wardrobe we have no matter what? That’s right! Shoes. Summer shoes need to be cute, comfy, and..well… light! No one likes sweaty feet (ew!) especially under a hot sun, so here’s our top 5 list and where to find the styles.
Sandals are absolutely a necessity when it comes to the Summer heat. Everyone knows that! So instead of wearing a boring, basic flip flop everyday we highly recommend you check out the wedge sandal collection this season. The styles are incredibly cute, and wedges are so easy to walk in. These are ideal if you need a more “professional” or “formal” appearance but still want to stick with the open, breezy style. Now, obviously these aren’t exactly “new” to the world. Wedges have been in and out, on and off the shelves for years. We put them first because you can wear them with any kind of outfit. You can wear them with just a bikini. They are the answer to your summer shoes worries.

You would think getting flip flops if you don’t already have them would be pretty obvious to do before the Summer. Most people already have them. Well, it actually isn’t! You would really be surprised how many people don’t have flip flops. They go for slides (and usually wear them with socks, and we’re telling you right now that’s absolutely not okay) or something very unattractive. Ladies, summer shoes don’t have to get complicated. Keep it simple! We all know how easy it is to pair up flip flops with basically every single outfit in the world.

Summer shoes aren’t completely limited to sandals or open-toed somethings. It would be ideal if we could stick with flip flops all the time because they go with absolutely everything and are just so easy to deal with. However, sometimes it’s going to rain, sometimes you might go on some weird adventure with your friends, sometimes things are just better with a nice pair of soft sneakers. Canvas is the way to go, just try to avoid Chuck Taylors if you’re looking for comfort because they tend to be pretty stiff in the beginning.

Like we were just saying, heels probably aren’t your go-to pairs of summer shoes since you’ll constantly be on the go, but sometimes it calls for it. There are definitely going to be days and nights where you are going to a party and the dress has to be more “formal” or “professional” looking. Even though we show some platforms down below, try to stick with simple heels in beachy areas. Also, we say to go with strappy because they give a nice breeze and they just always seem that much easier to walk in.

Once again, we bring you to a point where you might just have to wear something like boots for a night. That’s completely fine. Short boots seem to have become a year-round style. All we recommend is that you stick with something not as furry or material-heavy as our famous winter boots. It’s bound to be warm of course, and all that extra material will just make you super miserable.
