10 Best Places To Eat Near University Of Pittsburgh

Looking to get away from the dining hall for a night? Well, you’re in luck because this is the article for you! Check out these 10 amazing places to eat near University of Pittsburgh. Menus will be linked to the restaurant’s name!

1.  Stack’d

Located right on Forbes Ave across from the towers, this is definitely the best burger place on campus. And if you’re a pierogi fan like myself, you will absolutely love their pierogies appetizer!!

2. Primantis

Also located right on Forbes, is a great place to go for cheap, but still good, food. Huge sandwiches that come with coleslaw and fries right on the sandwich. A true Pittsburgh classic!! The best part is, you can pay with your Panther funds! One of the most convenient places to eat near University of Pittsburgh!

3. Cafe Milano

This restaurant is one of my favorites. If you’re looking for some wholesome Italian cooking, here it is! Located in downtown, here you’ll find some great pasta dishes and amazing pizza!!

4. The Porch

If you’re looking for something different, definitely try The Porch. Their menu changes by season and the whole setting is very cute and laid-back. Plus, this place is right across from the Cathedral in the Schenley Plaza!

5. Union Grill

Technically this one is not on campus because it is more so by CMU, but still within walking distance! Known for their famous turkey Devonshire and fries. Also, make sure you try the smores platter for dessert!

6. August Henry’s

Downtown restaurant with a saloon-style vibe. This place has it all! Burgers, pasta, lobster, everything!

7. Pamela’s

A few blocks down from the main campus on Forbes, Pamela’s is a great breakfast destination. Pancakes, waffles, omelets, all amazing choices. Panther funds are accepted here too!!!

8. Emiliano’s

This is one of those Mexican restaurants that brings you bottomless chips and salsa for free!!! A great menu filled with tons of options from tacos to salads, located on the South Side.

9. The Yard

2 locations around campus, downtown, and Shadyside. Great pub environment with a huge gourmet grilled-cheese menu!!

10. Shady Grove

While you’re exploring Shadyside you’re going to get hungry. Head over to the Shady Grove for some great American grill food in a hip setting.

All these places are great for a dinner out while still on a college budget. Keep in mind though, these are just 10 of the hundreds of restaurants Pittsburgh has to offer. Get out and explore!!
