The 5 Best Hotels In Belize To Stay During Your Trip

The secret is out, Belize is the new Costa Rico. It has beautiful blue waters, breathtaking coral reefs, untouched jungles, and amazing Mayan ruins. The best part is, not everyone knows about how great Belize is, but that won’t last forever. So you may want to check it out before people catch on and the price of a Belkin goes from $1 to $5. If you are making room for Belize on your travel list, don’t book blindly, check out the best hotels in Belize to stay!

1. Captain Morgan Resort

Don’t let the name fool you, this is not a party place. Located on island of San Pedro, Captain Morgan’s is the perfect mix of partying and relaxing. It is just a short 10 minute golf cart ride from the night life of San Pedro, but is far enough away that you can sit on the beach at night and only hear the waves. You can even opt for one of their beachfront bungalows that is literally steps from the ocean, or you can head the other direction and spend the night at the swim up bar where the drinks are always flowing. This is what makes Captain Morgan Resort one of the best hotels in Belize!

2. Almond Beach Resort

If you are looking to spoil yourself, this is the place to do it. I have never stayed anywhere as romantic as the Almond beach. Located in the village of Hopkins, this resort is the perfect place to honeymoon or even get married. However, the village is small and quite, so if you are looking for a party, this may not be the place for you.

3. Sleeping Giant Lodge

The coastline of Belize is amazing, but there is so much more to see. The Sleeping Giant Lodge is the perfect spot for a jungle retreat. You will be surrounded by larger than life trees, the sound of distant pumas, and more waterfalls and rivers than you can count. Just make sure you close the bed netting tight at night because jungle bugs are no joke. But, bugs aside, if you built tree forts as a child, this will be a dream come true.

4. Lina Point Overwater Resort

You know how you always wanted to stay in one of those overwater bungalows like Kim Kardashian, well you might be able to. Sure, this place isn’t as lux as many overwater resorts, but you get the experience without the price tag, so I think it’s a win. Plus, you get to have your coffee in a swing over the water… how can you beat that?

5. Ramon’s Village Resort

Located on San Pedro, this resort is the perfect combination of romance and vacation. It offers the night life of San Pedro with the luxury and seclusion of a resort. It is beyond magical, with giant thatched roofs, large jungle walk paths, and private swimming pools. This is the perfect place for a couple that wants to party with people during night and relax together alone by the pool the next morning.
